What kind of beauty will it be for Yuan Miscellaneous Opera to collide with the Kunqu Opera art, the "ancestor of a hundred operas"? This weekend (February 24th and 25th), a well-known creative team in the industry will gather a large-scale original Kunqu opera "Han Palace Autumn" to jointly create the curtain will be opened at the Mei Lanfang Grand Theater.
The art of Kunqu opera is a concentrated embodiment of the elegance of ancient literati and condenses the traditional aesthetic paradigm. As a classic of classical tragedy, although the Yuan miscellaneous drama "Autumn in the Han Palace" has been widely circulated on the desk, it has never been completely inherited and presented on the stage in the nearly 800 years since it came out. To this end, the Northern Kunqu Opera Theater created and rehearsed a large-scale original Kunqu opera "Han Palace Autumn", which was selected as the 2023 National Art ** Funding Project.
On the basis of Yuan Miscellaneous Opera, the Northern Kunqu Opera Theater adheres to the creative concept of respecting historical facts, returns to the real historical background of the Han Dynasty and the Hungarian Weakness, and re-establishes the ideological theme. It is no longer limited to the love of the emperor and concubine, but from the perspective of history and contemporary, it focuses on the tragic story of the emperor and the common people after the end of the Hundred Years War of the Han-Hungarian confrontation, so as to show a highly publicized sense of community of the Chinese nation.
On February 24th and 25th, in the Mei Lanfang Grand Theater, the large-scale Kunqu opera "Autumn in the Han Palace" will present a tragic and heroic cultural feast.
