Heat treatment specifications and metallographic structure.

Heat treatment specifications: 1) annealing, 800 900 slow cooling or about 750 fast cooling; 2) Quenching, 1050 1100 oil cooling; 3) Tempering, 200 300 quick cooling.

Metallographic structure: The tissue is characterized by a martensitic type.

The strength and hardness of X46Cr13 stainless steel is due to its high carbon and high chromium composition. In the heat treatment process, its mechanical properties can be further enhanced through quenching and tempering treatment. The hardness of this stainless steel can be improved by quenching, while tempering can increase its toughness and ductility. In terms of metallographic structure, the microstructure of X46Cr13 stainless steel is characterized by martensitic type, which means that its microstructure is mainly composed of martensitic, which helps to improve its hardness and strength.

The corrosion resistance of X46Cr13 stainless steel is mainly due to its high chromium composition. The chromium element forms a protective oxide film on the surface of the steel, which can effectively resist oxidation and corrosion. In addition, X46Cr13 also has good heat resistance and can maintain its mechanical properties at high temperatures. This stainless steel also has good machinability, making it ideal for the manufacture of knives and cutting tools.
