In the autumn of 1949, as the People's Liberation Army swept Liuhe and marched southward like a flattening of the Eight Desolations, the Jiang dynasty came to its end. At the same time, under the leadership of the Communist Party, the first CPPCC meeting of the People's Republic of China was launched, and it was decided to hold a grand founding ceremony on October 49 to announce the birth of this great country to the world.
But after the time of the founding celebration was determined, there was one thing that stumped everyone, that is, the commander of the parade above the celebration. As the first grand ceremony of the People's Republic of China, the military parade of the founding celebration of the People's Republic of China must be magnificent enough, and its command must also be a cadre with good qualifications and ability in the party and army.
In the face of the abundant generals in the army, ** made a final decision and nominated *** as the commander-in-chief. And the reason why the chairman chose Nie.
Handsome, because he has saved his life four times, he is a person he trusts.
How did Nie Shuai save the chairman four times? What other legends have been in his life?
Click on it and walk into the life story of *** together.
The story of Nie Shuai's four rescues of the chairman actually happened in one place and at a point in time. In March 1948, in view of the needs of the Liberation War situation at that time and the bad situation in northern Shaanxi, the top leaders finally had to give up the land in northern Shaanxi where they had lived for more than ten years. After crossing the Yellow River on a sheepskin raft, the leaders came to the vast land of North China.
After more than half a month of bumpy journey, the ** group came to a small mountain village in the Taihang Mountain base area. This is the city of Nanzhuang, Hebei Province, which was once the headquarters of the military region where Nie Shuai was in North China. And the story of Nie Shuai's four rescues happened here.
Before *** decided to transfer, he had already communicated with Nie Shuai, and set the primary location of the transfer in Nie Shuai's Jinchaji Military Region. When Nie Shuai learned that the leaders of *** and other *** were going to come to his military region as "guests", he immediately cleaned up his headquarters and let the chairman and others rest. And the room where *** lives is the one where Nie Shuai lived before.
After learning that *** and others had arrived in Chengnanzhuang, Nie Shuai personally went out of the village to greet him and enthusiastically introduced the relevant situation in the station to the chairman and others. The terrain of Chengnanzhuang is flat and open, which is very conducive to detecting the enemy's situation, and there is a large area of deep mountains not far away, which can hide in the deep mountains when the battle situation is unfavorable, and it is an excellent operational command post.
** Stayed in the welcome of everyone in Chengnanzhuang and began his own guidance for the National Liberation War.
But at the time of forgetting to sleep and eat, the danger is gradually approaching.
At that time, due to the successive defeats in the War of Liberation, the top echelons of the Kuomintang were very resentful of our party and our army. The Kuomintang troops, which boasted of possessing a large amount of American-style equipment, were never able to deal a major blow to our army on the battlefield. Unable to deal a blow to our army from the front, the Kuomintang rightists turned their minds to other aspects.
With Chiang Kai-shek's acquiescence, the Kuomintang spies began to carry out a special assassination plan against the important leaders of our party and our army. As the commander of the Shanxi-Chahar-Hebei Military Region, Nie Shuai naturally became a major target of the Kuomintang spies. In order to assassinate Nie Shuai, the Kuomintang even deliberately set up a special team in Hebei. But when these people received the news that *** had come to Hebei, they immediately shifted their targets, intending to do something unfavorable to ***.
Under the plan of the assassination team on the Kuomintang side, poisoning became its main means of assassination. However, due to the fact that the defense of his life is very strict, the meals and water he eats and drinks every day are checked by special personnel. It was difficult for the Kuomintang to sneak into Chengnanzhuang and manipulate the chairman's food and water.
Just when the Kuomintang wanted to abandon their plans, God seemed to give them a little hope of success. It turned out that soon after arriving in Chengnanzhuang, the chairman worked day and night for matters related to the Liberation War. Because of overwork and a slight cold, ** actually fell ill. Under the arrangement of Nie Shuai and others, a well-known local Chinese medicine doctor prescribed medicine for *** and asked the soldiers to decoct the chairman every day.
This unexpected appearance undoubtedly provided the Kuomintang with another breakthrough in addition to food and drinking water. So the despicable assassination plan was set in motion again.
On the Kuomintang side, a spy who infiltrated our army deliberately talked to the fighters while they were decocting medicine for the chairman, trying to distract the fighters and complete their plans. But who would have thought that this soldier had already received the command of the commander ***, asking him to ensure the safety of the chairman's medicine no matter what.
At the same time, Nie Shuai also came to the scene of the decoction. The weak-hearted spy was worried that his secret whereabouts would arouse suspicion and lead to the exposure of his identity, so he had to leave quickly. After Nie Shuai found that the medicine had been basically decocted, he proposed to test the medicine for the chairman.
The chairman's guards were shocked when they heard this, and hurriedly stopped Nie Shuai from saying that this was too dangerous. But Nie Shuai still drank the chairman's medicine without hesitation, and after waiting for more than ten minutes without any discomfort, he asked the guards to bring the medicine to the chairman.
When the commander was stationed in Chengnanzhuang, he rescued the chairman four times. After destroying the enemy's drug delivery plan, how will Nie Shuai rescue the chairman?
Under the careful care of Nie Shuai and others, **'s body gradually improved. After he had basically recovered, he instructed the other comrades who accompanied him to go to Xibaipo first and join Mr. Zhu and others. The chairman himself hopes to stay in Chengnanzhuang for a period of time to recuperate.
** Waiting for others to say goodbye to the chairman, and kept telling Nie Shuai to protect the chairman's safety before leaving. Nie Shuai assured ***: "You can rest assured!" ”
No one expected that Nie Shuai's guarantee would really come true later, and once again rescue the chairman from a dangerous situation.
The Kuomintang personnel were overjoyed when they learned that *** did not leave with the other ** members, but remained in Chengnanzhuang, thinking that their plan could still be realized.
So, under some careful planning, the Kuomintang personnel repeated their old tricks and prepared to dome medicine in the chairman's diet. Kuomintang agents used their latent identities to capture a lot of fresh fish. In the name of feeding the chairman, the fish were sent to the kitchen where the chairman cooked.
Because the fish were arrested by the fighters together, they were not examined by professional doctors, and no one found the poisonous dough hidden in the mouths of some of the fish. Seeing that the fish had escaped everyone's scrutiny, they were to be cooked by the chef and served to the chairman's table. Nie Shuai came to the kitchen at this point in time to inspect the chairman's relevant diet. After discovering those fish that had a strange reaction because they contained dough in their mouths, Nie Shuai shrewdly said that he would not make them for the chairman for the time being, and would observe the situation for a few days.
In this way, the problematic fish did not end up on the chairman's table, and the chairman escaped again.
Perhaps it was the repeated failures of the mission that caused the Kuomintang to lose confidence in that kind of drug-throwing plan. In order to complete the task assigned by their superiors, they planned to carry out an air raid on Chengnanzhuang. After getting the information about the residence of ***, the Kuomintang mobilized four bombers from the nearest airport in North China and rushed to Chengnanzhuang in the starry night.
On May 18, 1948, near Chengnanzhuang, the roar of airplanes was heard. The air defense alarm in Zhuangzi sounded instantly, and Nie Shuai, who was eating breakfast in the house, immediately got up and walked out of the house to investigate. The four Kuomintang fighters circled several times and flew into the distance.
Although Nie Shuai didn't understand the behavior of the four fighters in his heart, he still gave birth to a vigilant heart. He immediately ordered the group to retreat to the bomb shelter. Seeing that everyone was retreating, Nie Shuai remembered that the chairman who was working in the middle of the night must be sleeping, and it was likely that he had not received the news of the retreat. So Nie Shuai immediately rushed to the house where the chairman lived and personally went into the house to wake up the chairman.
The chairman was reluctant to leave the house because he had just fallen asleep. Nie Shuai made a decision at a critical moment, ordered someone to bring a stretcher, and immediately carried the chairman to the air-raid shelter.
Not long after everyone left the room, Kuomintang fighters attacked again, and several bombs were directed at the chairman's room. After the ** sound, the chairman's bed was unrecognizable, and the house was in a mess.
Nie Shuai's shrewdness and courage once again saved the chairman and preserved the safety of the revolutionary leaders of the entire Chinese people.
After the bombing, the leaders called Nie Shuai one after another, hoping that he would send the chairman to Xibaipo. However, in order to find out the Kuomintang personnel hidden in the ranks, the chairman hoped to stay in Chengnanzhuang as a "bait". However, Nie Shuai was unwilling to risk the chairman's safety, and finally persuaded the chairman to move to the former station of the army first.
Just a few days after the chairman quietly moved away from Chengnanzhuang, Kuomintang fighters attacked again and launched an indiscriminate air attack on Chengnanzhuang. At Nie Shuai's suggestion, the chairman has changed his place of residence and escaped the catastrophe again.
In just over a month, Nie Shuai saved the chairman four times in Chengnanzhuang. Through his wisdom and courage, Nie Shuai won the trust of the chairman and also demonstrated the ability of his senior commanders and fighters of the PLA.
Nie Shuai saved *** and won the trust of the chairman. As one of the founders of the People's Liberation Army, **Marshal, he devoted his life to the revolution. What contributions did such a great founding father make to the revolution?
As one of the founders of the People's Liberation Army, Nie Shuai had a high starting point in his military career. As the commander of the army, Nie Shuai has been a cadre since he joined the army. After joining the Communist Party of China in his early years, Nie Shuai was sent to study at the Soviet Military Academy, and was in the same class as Ye Ting and others. After returning to China, Nie Shuai directly became the third in command of the Huangpu Political Department by virtue of his excellent military literacy ability. According to the rules of Whampoa, the ** at that time. It is not an exaggeration to wait for someone to call Nie Shuai a teacher.
After that, he served as a member of the Military Commission of the Communist Party of China in the Northern Expedition and became one of the first members of the Military Commission.
As one of the founders of the People's Liberation Army, Nie Shuai also played a decisive role in the Nanchang Uprising. In July 19127, the Standing Committee of the Communist Party of China established the Committee of Former Enemies of the Uprising in Nanchang City. Nie Shuai, as the secretary of the committee, became one of the four members of the decision-making group. Although Nie Shuai did not personally participate in the Nanchang Uprising, it was with Nie Shuai who contacted Ye Ting's 24th Division and the 20th Army of ** that he finally made up the main force of the Nanchang Uprising.
In addition, Nie Shuai also mobilized the troops of two regiments under Zhang Fakui to march to Nanchang, adding assistance to the rebel army. After the Nanchang Uprising, Nie Shuai went to Guangdong with the organization's order and personally organized the Guangzhou Uprising, echoing the uprisings of our party in various places.
In addition to having lofty ambitions and resolutely advancing the revolutionary cause of the Communist Party, Nie Shuai is even more serious and rigorous in his work. After the founding of New China, the top level of our party and our army has long been worried about the backwardness of our equipment. Especially after the United States and the Soviet Union and other countries have successively tested atomic bombs and other nuclear weapons, China's strategic nuclear development pressure is huge.
In addition to the atomic bomb, nuclear submarines, the best equipment in the marine field, are also problems that New China urgently needs to solve. The development of China's nuclear submarine technology started with Nie Shuai.
In the very beginning of our party's plan, it was supposed to learn from the experience of the Soviet side. However, the Soviet side rejected China's request for help on the grounds that China could not complete high-precision technology.
Without the help of the Soviet Union, the big brother, China's nuclear submarine construction is bound to be very difficult. But *** led by *** did not give up easily. In the autumn of 1958, the nuclear submarine research laboratory headed by Nie Shuai was established, and China's research journey on nuclear submarine technology began. In 1965, under the impetus of Nie Shuai, nuclear submarine technology was included in the national construction plan, and the navy department began to fully cooperate with the research and construction of nuclear submarine technology.
After that, Nie Shuai disregarded his personal political safety and took the initiative to protect the personal safety of experts related to nuclear submarines when surrounded by enemies, so that they could not be framed and arrested. It was these experts and scholars who stepped up the construction of nuclear submarines in later days, laying the groundwork for the ultimate achievement.
In 1971, the nuclear submarine basically completed the land research work and began sea trials under the instructions of the first country. After three years of sea trials, China's first nuclear submarine was officially delivered on Army Day in 1974.
The poet described Nie Shuai in the field: "The general is majestic and so benevolent", these two ordinary words are the portrayal of Nie Shuai's life. He is meticulous in his work and revolution, striving for the best. In dealing with his comrades, he was gentle and cordial, and did not have the slightest arrogance. He was the marshal of New China and the leader of the country, but he was also a partner of the people and a friend of the masses.
