Apple camera restored to desktop

Don't panic if your iPhone camera icon disappears unexpectedly, the following steps will help you quickly restore the camera to your desktop

Search for the appFirst, swipe down on the desktop of your phone, enter the search interface, and type "camera" or "camera" to search. If the Camera app still exists, you can open it directly from the search results and consider adding it to your home screen or rearranging the icons for quick access.

Check the app folder: Sometimes we may accidentally move the camera icon to a folder. Double-check if there are any folders on your home screen and look for the camera icon in them.

Restore through the app repository: If you can't find the camera icon in any of the above methods, you can try to restore it through the App Library. Swipe to the last screen and you'll see a new page called "App Library" (iOS 14 and above). Here, your apps are automatically organized into categories. Find Camera or a category that may contain a camera, such as Utilities or Entertainment, press and hold the camera icon and select Add to Home Screen.

Restart your device: If none of the above steps resolve the issue, try restarting your device. Press and hold the power button, then slide to power off, and then turn it back on. Check if the desktop has recovered the camera icon after restarting.

Check the limits vs. screen time: Go to Settings >Screen Time" >Content & Privacy Restrictions" and make sure that the camera permission is turned on in "Allowed Apps". If the camera is accidentally disabled, re-enable it here.

Reset the home screen layout: If none of the above works, you may consider resetting the home screen layout. This will restore all app icons to their default layout at the factory, but note that this will also disrupt your existing icon arrangement. Go to "Settings" >General" >Reset" >Restore Home Screen Layout".

After following the above steps, your Apple Camera app should be able to recover successfully to your desktop. If the problem persists, it is recommended to check whether there is the latest iOS system update and consider upgrading.
