Some time ago, the Jakarta-Bandung high-speed railway jointly built by China and Indonesia officially began commercial operation, and the fastest travel time between the two places was 35 hours compressed to 40 minutes. The advanced and mature technology of the 350 km/h Fuxing Chinese standard EMU has once again amazed the world.

As the presiding designer of this technology, Liang Jianying, director of the Qingdao Technology Innovation Center of the National High-speed Train, has been on the front line of high-speed rail research and development for 28 years. From "Harmony" to "Fuxing", she led the R&D team to overcome the key core technologies of high-speed EMUs. Recently, Liang Jianying was awarded the title of "National Outstanding Engineer".

In 2006, CRRC Sifang Co., Ltd. proposed an independent improvement and innovation plan to start the design of high-speed EMUs with a speed of 300 kilometers per hour, and Liang Jianying, then 34 years old, was appointed as the chief designer of the R&D project. "Products can be bought, but technological innovation capabilities can't be bought. Liang Jianying said. In December 2007, China's first EMU with a speed of 300-350 kilometers per hour was successfully launched, which not only greatly improved the running speed of China's railways, but also made China's high-speed railways gain a firm foothold in the world.

In 2008, CRRC Sifang Co., Ltd. entered the stage of comprehensive independent innovation, and Liang Jianying became the chief designer of the R&D project of CRH380A high-speed EMU. In order to understand the dynamic behavior, performance and laws of EMUs under high-speed operating conditions, Liang Jianying led the team to all parts of the country to carry out scientific research experiments. Prepare at 4 a.m. every day, follow the car for more than 10 hours during the day, and sort out the test data of the day at night to formulate the test plan for the next day. In her opinion, "high-speed trains are not only designed, but also tested".

The maximum design speed is 380 kilometers per hour, which is a speed level that has no precedent to follow in the world, and the difficulty can be imagined. I don't know how many times I overturned the hypothesis, and I don't know how many sleepless nights I have experienced, from key technology research to scheme design, from analysis to test verification, Liang Jianying led the team to complete a total of two years of line tests, after more than 450 calculations, more than 1050 ground tests, more than 2800 line tests, in 2010, CRH380A high-speed EMU successfully rolled off the assembly line. On December 3 of the same year, in the pilot section of the Beijing-Shanghai high-speed railway, CRH380A ran out of 4861 km/h. The world's highest speed railway operation test was born in China.

In 2012, China launched the research and development of the 350 km/h Fuxing Chinese standard EMU project. "Technological innovation never succeeds overnight. Liang Jianying said that the road to scientific and technological innovation is to continue to trial and error, and then find out better solutions.

In order to design the best performance of the locomotive head type, Liang Jianying led the team to carry out a large number of first-class calculations and tests, and when the final plan was released, the data of the locomotive was printed on A4 paper and piled up more than 1 meter high; In order to overcome the industry problem of noise, she and her team have conducted more than 1 year of experiments in the laboratory, and have done more than 3,000 sound insulation tests on different materials and structures alone. In order to find the optimal damping parameters, she and her team repeatedly compared and matched dozens of parameter combinations, and repeatedly reversed and reinvented the ......

From the prototype to the final finalization, Fuxing has done more than 2,300 line tests, with a test mileage of 610,000 kilometers, which is equivalent to running 15 laps around the earth's equator. When the "Fuxing" came out, the vehicle resistance was reduced by 12%, the energy consumption was reduced by 17%, the noise was reduced by 4-6db, and the stability index reached the excellent ......A number of advanced indicators mark the new height of China's high-speed trains. As of the end of January 2023, the Fuxing EMU developed by Liang Jianying's team has created an output value of more than 60 billion yuan.

We must firmly serve the country with science and technology and benefit the people, continue to break through key core technologies, and contribute wisdom and strength to China's high-speed rail. Liang Jianying said.
