Just like the dragon hat of this year's Spring Festival, Qingyang sachet is an indispensable item in the festivals and important ceremonies of the local people, and on its body, it carries a long-standing memory of folk culture.

Xi Shigang, chairman of the Qingyang Civic Literary and Artistic Association, introduced that the Qingyang sachet is based on silk colored cloth, silver needle and silk thread as the pen, and between the flying needles, fish, insects, birds and beasts, zodiac, sachet ornaments and other beautiful objects are about to come out......This is Qingyang sachet, a cultural business card with a long history.

According to historical records, in Qingyang, Qi Bo often wore medicine bags containing herbs to prevent and ward off plague, and thus became popular in the local area and gradually became a custom. As a result, scented herbs are called "vanilla", and scented pouches are called "sachets".

In 2001, cultural relics workers found a well-preserved Jin Dynasty sachet in the body of the Shuangta Temple in Huachi County, Qingyang City. The sachet is made of tawny brocade embroidered throughout in an oval shape, with an agate gemstone chain and a traditional seam around it, and a freehand phoenix claw pattern at the bottom. The main body is a begonia flower, embroidered with colored silk threads. The shape of flowers and leaves is distinct from color to form, rich in changes, although the age is old, it is still gorgeous as new, nearly a thousand years ago, so it is called "Chitose sachet".

In order to pass on the precious cultural heritage of sachets, Qingyang City promotes the development of the sachet industry with festivals. Since 2002, Qingyang City has held 18 consecutive sachet folk culture festivals.
