Social practice of Quyuan students during the winter vacation to understand cultural inheritance and build a harmonious community
In order to create a good community atmosphere and build a civilized community together, on February 13, 2024, the members of the School of Computer Science and Technology of Qufu Normal University and the members of the Social Practice Team of Zhenxiang Township, under the guidance of Mr. Ji Yuchao, went to Wucha Community, Huaiyuan County, Anhui Province to carry out community cultural construction activities.
The practice team members and some community members spontaneously organized visits to learn the story of Dayu's water control and felt the cultural inheritance. Tushan Yu Palace is located at the top of Tushan Mountain, Huaiyuan County, Bengbu City, Anhui Province, which is the location of the ancient Tushan Kingdom, and is also the place where Dayu married his wife and the princes of the first conference. Yuwang Palace has a history of more than 2,000 years, and it is a temple to worship the daughter of Yu and Qimu Tushan. On the top of Tu Mountain, there is a stone statue, called "Qimu Stone", also called "Wangfu Stone".
Through online information retrieval, the team members learned about the history of Tu Shanyu Palace and explained it to other residents in the community. Yuwang Palace, commonly known as Yu Temple, was built in the twelfth year of Gaozu of the Han Dynasty (195 BC). Legend has it that Han Gaozu Liu Bang commanded the army to suppress Yingbu, passed through Tu Mountain, visited the ruins of Dayu, in order to make future generations forever miss the work of Dayu to control the water, so he ordered to build Yu Temple on the top of Tu Mountain. In recent years, the local government has allocated funds to repair the Yuwang Palace, successively repaired some houses and walls, and restored some plaques and poems and paintings.
This spontaneous activity of some community members not only made the residents feel the cultural inheritance, but also enhanced the affection between the community members. Through visits, commemoration and learning, the members of the practice team deeply understood the importance of culture and the role of community social practice in cultivating people's public welfare spirit and civic awareness.
The significance of community social practice is significant and far-reaching, which not only helps to promote the development and progress of the community, enhances the sense of belonging and participation of residents, but also cultivates people's public welfare spirit and civic awareness. Team members encourage and support more people to participate in community social practice, and inject more vitality and care into community construction.
