Ask: "What if knowledge doesn't grow?" ”
Mr. said: "In order to learn, we must have the original, we must work hard from the original, and gradually 'Yingke advances'." The fairy family said that babies are also good at it. When the baby is in the mother's womb, it is only pure qi, what knowledge does it have? After being born in the womb, Fang can cry, then laugh, and then recognize his parents and brothers, and then he can stand, act, hold, and bear, and death is impossible in the world. If the spirit is full, the muscles will be stronger and the smarter will be opened. It's not the day of birth that you need to find it. Therefore, there must be an original. The saints are in place of heaven and earth, and nurture all things, and they are only raised from the joys, sorrows, and joys. Later Confucianism does not know the theory of things, and when he sees that the saint knows everything and has no power, he wants to do everything when he first starts, how can this be reasonable? He also said: "Determination to work hard is like planting a tree." Fang Qi's roots and buds have not yet dried; and it has a stem, but not yet a branch. Branches followed by leaves, leaves followed by flowers, fruits. When planting roots for the first time, just cultivate and irrigate, don't think about branches, don't think about leaves, don't think about flowers, don't think about things. What's the point of suspense? But don't forget the cultivation work, I'm afraid that there will be no branches and leaves? ”
Lu Cheng asked: "If knowledge does not grow, how can it be good?" ”
Mr. Yang Ming replied that learning needs to have a source, and it is necessary to work the fundamentals, step by step, in order to make progress, and then use the example of the growth of a baby to illustrate. We must first be determined to work hard, just like planting a tree, lay a good foundation first, and slowly it will take root and sprout, blossom and bear fruit. But at the beginning, as long as you water and fertilize with peace of mind, there is no point in dreaming about the fruit, and if you water and fertilize well, you will eventually have fruitful results.
The road of learning for modern people is like a long journey. Since childhood, people have embarked on this path of study, either because of their parents' expectations, or because of their reputation, or because of their dreams of getting rich. Among these many learners, some people love learning or are willing to learn from the bottom of their hearts, so they can walk out of different trajectories on this road, and the final results are naturally uneven. As a result, there is the so-called distinction between scumbags, scholars, and gods. Watering and fertilizing, taking root, blossoming and bearing fruit, these figurative metaphors seem to depict the characteristics of different stages of the learning path. In the beginning, we need to carefully cultivate an interest in learning, like a carefully watered and fertilized sapling. Only when interest is gradually cultivated can learning take root like a sapling and eventually blossom and bear fruit. As Mr. Yang Ming's teachings say, the path to learning must first be determined. We need to have clear goals and aspirations, and then gradually develop an interest and habit of learning. In this process, we need to keep our feet on the ground and move forward step by step. It is not advisable to fantasize about the mentality of ascending to the sky in one step, and only through continuous efforts and accumulation can we go further and higher on the road of learning.
