At present, the digital and intelligent transformation and upgrading of large-scale infrastructure represented by highways, rail transit, oil and gas pipelines, petrochemical power, etc., urgently needs a large-capacity and long-distance sensing network that can carry hundreds of thousands or even millions of sensors and monitor distances of tens or even hundreds of kilometers.
Compared with the traditional optical fiber sensing technology, the new generation of large-capacity optical fiber sensing network based on grating array technology developed by the team of academician Jiang Desheng of the National Engineering Research Center for Optical Fiber Sensing Technology and Network of Wuhan University of Technology has the characteristics of "large capacity, long distance, high precision, multi-parameter and high reliability", which can become the first choice to effectively solve the above problemsAt present, it has taken the lead in the world to realize the industrial preparation of 100,000 grating sensors with a single optical fiber, and has achieved world-leading innovation results.
