Li Zongren funded the construction of the school, and the red undercover agent took power

During the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression, a cadre school was set up in the north and south of China: Kang Da in Yan'an and Digan in Guilin. Among them, the local cadre school has trained more than 4,000 anti-Japanese backbones, and although Huang Xuchu, chairman of Guangxi, is the principal, the actual teaching work is in charge of the actual teaching work by Yang Dongchun, the director of education.

What is less known is that Yang Dongchun is actually a hidden front warrior planted by Li Kenong. And all this made Li Zongren never expect that the cadre school he founded at his expense was actually mastered by our red **.

Yang Dongchun: Out of the Campus and Embarking on the Road of Revolution Yang Dongchun, a young man born in Liling, Hunan Province in 1900, went to Beijing at the age of 19 to go to school and entered the campus of the new era after experiencing the shackles of the old private school education.

It was at this time that he encountered the May Fourth Movement, which made him understand how ignorant the old education of the past was, and that even if the students of the new era did not have guns, as long as everyone united, they could make the tyrannical rulers of Beiyang fearful.

After the May Fourth Movement, Yang Dongchun changed from a simple student to a determined patriot. On the shore of Weiming Lake, he met Li Dazhao, Hu Shi and others.

He learned from his teacher what true patriotism is, and knew that he should use his flesh and blood to call for the rule of law and use his youth to fight for freedom. When Li Dazhao founded the Marx Research Society, Yang Dongchun was one of the 19 founders.

As early as 1920, he began to propagate revolutionary ideas. After the founding of the party in 1921, he left school and took an active part in leading the workers' movement. He believed that as long as the workers and students united and united, they could form an invincible force, and even if they killed Li Dazhao, thousands of revolutionaries would continue to follow him.

Yang Dongchun's experience and thoughts are the embodiment of his love and loyalty to the motherland and the people. His story tells us that only by working together can we overcome all difficulties and challenges.

Yang Dongchun, a revolutionary who forged ahead in the White Terror. In 1927, the April 12 Incident dealt a heavy blow to the revolutionary forces, and he lost contact with the organization and was forced into exile in Japan.

However, even in a foreign country, he still insisted on writing articles, igniting everywhere with the spark of thought. In 1932, Li Zongren and Bai Chongxi realized the importance of education and began to strengthen the construction of the field of education.

They invited Yang Dongchun to serve as the principal of Guangxi Normal College, and invited a group of comrades from the red camp to teach at the school. Here, Yang Dongchun established a stronghold that was rare in the environment of the White Terror, and became the only place outside the Soviet zone where the Red Army was located to openly propagate Marxism-Leninism.

Li Zongren and Bai Chongxi had great respect for Yang Dongchun and visited the school many times.

In 1936, Yang Dongchun secretly received contact from Yan'an, and they hoped that Yang Dongchun would be able to persuade Li Zongren and Bai Chongxi of the Gui army to form a united front between Yan'an and the Gui army.

Yang Dongchun immediately took action, united with scholars in the field of education, and successfully persuaded Li and Bai to temporarily put aside their grievances with Chiang Kai-shek and put the overall situation of resistance against Japan in the first place.

After the outbreak of the all-out Anti-Japanese War, Yang Dongchun hoped to return to Yan'an, but at this time, the offices of the Eighth Route Army led by Zhou Gong were opened in various places, and it was urgent to carry out the first work. Zhou Gong and Bai Chongxi reached an agreement that the Eighth Route Army would open an office in Guangxi to jointly resist Japan and not dig into the corners of the Gui Army.

In order to cultivate grassroots anti-Japanese forces, the Gui Department founded the Guangxi Construction Cadre School, aiming to deliver ** to various places. Huang Xuchu served as the principal, but he was only in name, and the actual affairs were handled by the dean of education.

So he looked for a talent recommended by a friend of the Salvation Association, and his friend recommended Yang Dongchun. believes that Yang Dongchun is the best candidate in terms of ability and prestige. Huang Xuchu found Yang Dongchun, although Yang Dongchun had concerns, he verbally agreed so as not to expose his identity.

He came to the office of the Eighth Route Army in Guilin to find Li Kenong, saying that he wanted to go to Yan'an, but he was left by the Gui department to serve as the director of education of the cadre school, but he was actually the "executive principal". Li Kenong believed that this was an excellent opportunity to break into the Gui department, and agreed to Yang Dongchun as the director of education, making it clear that his task was to cultivate key talents for the anti-Japanese resistance, and at the same time develop our strength without harming the interests of the Gui department.

In general, our army and the Gui army sincerely cooperated to jointly resist Japan and oppose specialities.

Chairman Huang, in order to better adapt to the War of Resistance Against Japan, we need to open a cadre school. We promise that you will enjoy maximum autonomy in the process of running your school.

We respect your staffing arrangements, keep everything simple, and the course is arranged by you and approved by the principal. At the same time, in consideration of your physical health, we agree that you will be exempted from training in Chongqing and go directly back to Guangxi.

Please trust our sincerity and commitment, we will fully support your decision, and we will take the necessary confidentiality measures to protect your safety and ours.

We believe that as long as we are united, we will be able to successfully open this cadre school and contribute to the War of Resistance Against Japan. Once again, we would like to express our respect and gratitude to you, and hope that you will accept our request.

In the early days of the establishment of the cadre school, the team of teachers led by Yang Dongchun was determined to reform, innovate education methods, and trained a large number of anti-Japanese cadres for the Gui Department. Some comrades thought that there were no spies in the school, so they relaxed their vigilance and often walked around Guangxi with red newspapers in their books.

However, after learning of the incident, Li Kenong resolutely opposed such behavior, stressing that he must always maintain an anti-special spirit and remember not to reveal his identity. However, Li Kenong's hunch came true, and the spies of Chiang's camp and the rebels against Stalin in Eastern Europe took advantage of the war between the Soviet Union and Poland to create incidents in various parts of Guangxi, seriously undermining the situation of unity and resistance to war.

These people often disguise themselves as teachers and students, infiltrate cadre schools to sabotage, distribute leaflets, and create rumors. Faced with this situation, Yang immediately organized progressive students, launched a critique and struggle against these spies, and successfully eliminated their arrogance.

After an in-depth investigation, Yang discovered that several teachers and students were spies sent by the Chiang family. So, in his capacity as the director of education, he did not hesitate to expel them all.

In that year, the cadre school invited *** to come to the school to make a political report, and in the report, he pointed out the mistakes of the "quick victory theory" and the "death theory", and emphasized the importance of confidence.

However, due to the outbreak of war, the cadre school had to be forced to evacuate. Despite this, the cadre school still succeeded in training more than 4,000 anti-Japanese backbones, and their quality is admirable.

Li Zongren once openly criticized the education circles, pointing out that the cadres they trained were inefficient and not as good as the cadres trained by Yang Dongyun. It was not until 1949 that Yang Dongchun was evacuated from the enemy camp to Hong Kong Island.

Later, he continued to make outstanding contributions to the cause of education, serving as the president of universities in many places, and was known as the "lamplighter", leaving a glorious footprint. Since Yang Dongyun's protégés are all over the country, no matter who they are, they dare not offend him.

However, he died in Beijing in September 1979 at the age of 92. Yang Dongchun has dedicated his life to the cause of education, and his spirit will always inspire us to move forward.
