Many people who like to eat sea cucumbers say that it is easy to eat sea cucumbers but it is difficult to soak sea cucumbers, in fact, it is not difficult to master the method at all, and today I will share my method of soaking sea cucumbers with you.
Step 1
Prepare a large basin, any material is fine, wipe the basin clean, be sure to ensure that there is no oil in the basin.
Step 2
Put enough clean water in the basin to soak 6 sea cucumbers in the water, at least 1000 grams of water is needed, try to use pure water. Put the dried sea cucumber in the water, then put the basin in the refrigerator freezer and record the time when it was placed in the refrigerator.
Step 3
After 12 hours of refrigeration, take out the basin and change the water, the second time the amount of water is the same as the first time, and then put the sea cucumber in the refrigerator freezer, and record the time of putting it in the refrigerator as well.
The second time put it in the refrigerator for 12 hours, then take out the basin again to change the water (as of this time, the sea cucumber has been soaked for 24 hours), at this time, the water of the sea cucumber is a faint yellow, which is a normal phenomenon, and the third time the amount of water needs to be compared.
500 grams more water for the first and second times. Then put the sea cucumber in the refrigerator and record the time of putting it in the refrigerator.
After putting it in the refrigerator for 12 hours for the third time, take out the pot again and change the water again (the sea cucumber has been soaked for 36 hours by this time), and the amount of water for the fourth time is the same as the amount of water for the third time. Then put the sea cucumber in the refrigerator and record the time of putting it in the refrigerator.
Step 4
Put it in the refrigerator for the fourth time for 12 hours, take out the basin again and change the water (the sea cucumber has been soaked for 48 hours by this time), at this time, remove the teeth of the sea cucumber, cut it along the opening of the back with scissors, and tear out the white mouth. Then change the water again with the same amount of water as the last one, and place it in the freezer compartment again, while keeping the water changing every 12 hours until it has soaked for 72 hours.
Highlight the point: The total soaking time before cooking is 72 hours, and the water should be changed every 12 hours.
Step 5
After soaking the sea cucumber for 72 hours, boil a pot of water, put the sea cucumber in boiling water, wait for the water to boil again, turn to low heat and cook for an hour. When the time is up, turn off the heat and continue to let the sea cucumber soak in the pot until the water is cold.
Then take out the sea cucumber and soak it in purified water again and put it in the refrigerator, this time with 250 grams more water than before cooking, and soak it for a total of 72 hours, and keep changing the water every 12 hours, with the same amount of water each time.
After 72 hours, the sea cucumber is completely soaked, at this time it can be taken out for cooking, if it is not eaten for the time being, it can be sealed and wrapped in plastic wrap, and then put in the refrigerator to freeze, when to eat and when to take out the cooking.
