Nearly 60 teachers, students, parents and people from all walks of life attended the poetry recital. Natale Antonio Rossi, President of the Italian Writers' Association, Wei Yi, Chinese Director of the Confucius Institute at the University of Rome, and Maria Chiara P**One, Professor of the Accademia Santa Cecilia in Rome, delivered speeches successively.

In her speech in both Chinese and Italian languages, Wei Yi said that poetry touches the soul and is the highest level of language expression. For China and Italy, two large countries with a long history of poetry, poetry recitals are one of the best ways to bring people closer together, strengthen friendship and promote mutual understanding. In the past year, the Confucius Institute at the University of Rome, in cooperation with the Italian Writers' Association, has organized a number of dialogues and readings between Chinese and Italian poets at both the ancient and contemporary poetry levels, which have had a very positive exchange effect. Among them, the recitation of ancient Chinese poetry not only showcases the achievements of Chinese teaching, but also uses language and culture as a carrier of the long-standing friendship between the two peoples, and promotes the development of friendship between the two peoples.
Natale Antonio Rossi said that in the past two years, a series of Chinese-Italian literature themed activities have been jointly organized with the Confucius Institute of the University of Rome, which has opened a new chapter in the cultural exchanges between the two countries, and he looks forward to continuing in-depth exchanges in the future.
The poetry reading will be divided into three parts, the first part is "Between the Mountains and Wilderness", which expresses the Chinese philosophical idea of "the unity of heaven and man", and is also the inspiration of poets of all generations**, including Wang Wei's "Luchai" and Jia Dao's "The Hermit Is Not Encountered", and the performance is "Fantasia". The theme of the second part is "Thoughts of the Old Garden", including Li Bai's "Silent Night Thoughts", Wang Wei's "Memories of Shandong Brothers on September 9th", Li Yu's "Poppy Beauty", Nalan Xingde's "Sauvignon Blanc", and *The performances are "Starry Night", "Poppy Beauty" and "Bodhi Tree", expressing homesickness through poetry and **. The third part, "Feminism", was recited by Li Qingzhao's "Wuling Chun", the Han Yuefu folk song "Baitou Yin", and Meng Jiao's "Wandering Son's Yin", and the performance was Mozart's "Ah! I Feel Like It's Gone" and Schumann's "I Have No Grievances", which appreciate the poetry of female poets and the female characters in their poems from a female perspective. The last part is a special tribute part, which expresses my best wishes to everyone with Su Shi's "Water Tune Song Head". The audience applauded each program warmly, and appreciated the beauty of ancient Chinese and Western cultures in the sea of poetry and **.
