Mongolia sells Chinese coal at a high price and digs its own corners

On December 25, 1991, Gorbachev delivered a farewell speech, and the Soviet Union collapsed and the socialist camp collapsed.

The collapse of the Soviet Union, the biggest geopolitical event since World War II, not only subverted the international political landscape and changed the course of world history, but also caused a major setback to the proletarian active movement in the world.

For Mongolia in particular, as the de facto 16th member state of the Soviet Union, they were accustomed to a life of being beneficialized and protected by the Soviet Union. However, when the Soviet Union's backer and ATM collapsed, they had to start to become self-reliant, and this transformation made them feel very sad. ”

After a major change, Mongolia changed its name from "Mongolian People's Republic" to "Mongolia" on 12 February 1992 and introduced a new flag and coat of arms.

This decision was made in the context of the collapse of the Soviet Union and the difficult economic situation, which the Mongolian people hoped to use to change the economic situation and find a new direction for economic development.

This choice is very wise for Mongolia. As a result of the collapse of the Soviet Union, Mongolia suffered a heavy economic blow, and if it wanted to survive, it had to find new economic support.

Mongolia has chosen to embrace the capitalist camp, a decision that was also made against the backdrop of the search for a new financier. However, choosing the capitalist camp did not mean that Mongolia had abandoned its relations with the socialist countries.

After all, Mongolia is a socialist country, and its ideology differs from that of Western countries. Thus, while embracing the capitalist camp, Mongolia is also seeking ties and cooperation with other socialist countries.

In general, Mongolia's decision is based on the need for survival and the inevitable choice for its development. Despite some difficulties and challenges, the Mongolian people have the confidence and determination to forge ahead on this new path.

As a result of decades of anti-Chinese education and large-scale purge in the Soviet Union, the pro-Chinese factor in Mongolia was almost completely eliminated, and only the pro-Soviet elite remained. This has led to estranged relations between Mongolia and China, lacking a common language with each other.

At the same time, due to its geographical proximity to the Northeast, North China and Northwest China, Mongolia poses a huge threat to us and has become a major problem that we must solve.

Therefore, Mongolia was most worried about losing its Soviet-supported independent status.

Despite its departure from the Soviet Union, Mongolia chose to use the Trans-Siberian Railway to export its resources and deployed tens of thousands of armed forces on the Sino-Mongolian border. The United States, on the other hand, has long been attracted by Mongolia's superior geographical location, which can threaten two powerful opponents at the same time, China and Russia, so the United States has crossed the ocean and penetrated into the steppe, bringing to Mongolia the democratic ideas of Western countries.

The positive influence of the United States has attracted the attention of many friends, who have generously provided more and more aid to Mongolia, which has led to a significant improvement in Mongolia's standard of living and a gradual transition from dependence on the Soviet Union and its successor, Russia.

However, despite the large amount of support from Western countries, it has not been able to lift more than 3 million Mongolians out of poverty overnight. With the passage of time, Western countries found that China and Russia were "embracing back to back" because of their common enemies, and Mongolia's "flowering in the middle" strategy was not effective, and its attitude towards assistance gradually became cold.

Mongolia's dream of "going all the way west" has never been realized, because although American GIs go to Mongolia every year to conduct joint exercises, they do not really contribute to Mongolia's vital interests.

The real saviors are the two major neighbors in the north and south, and the southern neighbors have become the best leaders of Mongolia in the race to common prosperity when Russia is "all the way west" to take care of itself.

Thus, Mongolia learned to pragmatically "look south" and make its southern neighbor the largest market for resource exports.

Although Mongolia remains vigilant, the process of earning foreign exchange from Mongolia's resource exports has been seriously hampered by the fact that the export of resources can only be transferred through the border, which is time-consuming and inefficient.

In this situation, Mongolia decided to take our railway gauge and build three direct resource railway lines to China. It can be seen that in order to get rid of poverty, Mongolia is gradually abandoning the so-called bottom line.

The United States is anxious about Mongolia's growing loss of bottom line, and uses the corruption case of "6.5 million tons of coal" to instruct and support non-** organizations to incite public demonstrations, escalating the original demonstrations against ** corrupt elements into violent actions against Mongolia.

In the face of the blatant color revolution in the United States, Mongolia is determined to crack down on corruption in the coal sector in order to cut off the American attempt to subvert the United States. However, Mongolia's original intentions were ruined by the wrong methods, causing widespread discontent.

Mongolia** has decided to suspend the direct coal sales agreement with us, hand over the coal trading to the ** exchange, and change the coal ** from the pithead price to the border price. This will not only ensure the transparency of the coal trade, allowing us to cover all transportation costs, but also be able to sell Mongolian coal at a higher ** level through auctions.

For example, the previous direct selling price of coal from China and Mongolia was 490 yuan per tonne, but now it has been raised to 891 yuan per ton through auctions, and even to 1,290 yuan per ton in a trial operation, truly maximizing the value of coal.

Mongolian coal was originally of average quality, but through its own anti-corruption and foreign exchange earning efforts, it has continued to climb and become a representative of "there is no most expensive, only more expensive". In 2022, we imported 31.2 million tonnes of coal from Mongolia, accounting for 84% of its total exports, which is critical to Mongolia's common prosperity.

At the same time, we have also embarked on an energy diversification strategy, which has been welcomed by countries such as Russia, Australia and Indonesia.

The Mongols probably did not expect that their strategy of closely linking the fight against corruption with the export of resources would push their most important financiers thousands of miles away. Russian coal trains are blowing their horns to the east, Australian coal ships are also crossing the ocean, and other coal exporting countries have said that they have received orders and have sufficient coal.

A series of chain reactions made Mongolia's "killing two birds with one stone" plan quickly become synonymous with self-restraint. You know, we have always been not interested in Mongolia's resources that are not scarce, and our purchase of Mongolia's coal and other resources is more like humanitarian "poverty alleviation".

However, in the face of our good intentions, Mongolia is clever enough to deceive us.

The Mongols may feel that our cares beyond ordinary interests are to prepare for future mergers, and therefore, despite their desire to share in our prosperity, they remain wary of it.

More importantly, as a country forcibly stripped from our territory by Tsarist Russia and single-handedly supported by the Soviet Union, Mongolia has been carefully managed by the Soviet Union in the political, economic, cultural and other fields, making them a yellow race in white skins.

In other words, despite their financial constraints, they think of themselves higher than we do. In addition, after the end of the Cold War, the surging trend of "pan-Mongolism" made the Mongols feel that they were very bullish.

In this scenario, it is not surprising that Mongolia is stubborn in not taking into account our feelings. For Mongolia, it will still face it in the end because of its insistence"Common poverty"The fate of Genghis Khan is recalled in the wind and sand.

The problem, however, is that it is not surprising that Mongolian families are poor, after all, they have long been accustomed to living in poverty, and we have to face the embarrassing situation of being misunderstood with good intentions.

In the view of the history of the silent night, we cannot hide anything about the core issues. Especially in a region like Mongolia, we need to use various means, especially military means, to make them deeply understand that we are not at the mercy of others, that our resources are not to be wasted, and that if they want to share the fruits of the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation, we must adjust their attitude.

At the same time, we should also take concrete actions to make the neighboring countries that have caused Mongolia's problems understand that Mongolia no longer belongs to them, and that no matter how poor the place is, it will eventually achieve its own independence and development.

Every penny of our money and every help we do must reflect our dignity and principles.

Although it is inevitable that there will be omissions, please do not hesitate to correct them. I am Silent Night History, and I eagerly look forward to your attention and support.
