brighton residence
Brighton Residence, a family home in Melbourne, Australia, is understated and contemporary, showcasing orderly layering and harmony with its surroundings.
SJB responds to the architectural style presented by Wolveridge Architects with a clever and appropriate design approach. Natural textured details spoil the exterior of Brighton Residence, including concrete, wood paneling, and natural stone, to set the overall tone of the home.
Based on a deep perception of the existing tonality of Brighton Residence, SJB has carefully customized a low-key luxury interior style for it, and built a dialogue with nature to create a harmonious and calm habitat.
Passing through the hallway connected to the living room, you will be greeted by an open-plan multi-purpose area facing north consisting of a kitchen, dining room, entertainment space, and more. **There is an eye-catching bar counter, with a large wine cabinet full of treasured wines, the quality of life and the pursuit of self-evident.
Drawing inspiration from nature, the designers have used green in many parts of the interior, whether it's the sage green cabinets that run through the kitchen or the Envious Green granite island from G-Lux to further emphasise the connection with nature. The large openings blur the boundaries between the inside and the outside, and the garden is a great way to unite family members while also providing fluidity.
The adjacent dining area is furnished with Potocc Velis dining chairs and Baxter Plissé cabinets, Ellery French oak floors provide a rustic and natural undertone throughout the room, and Nicholas Harding's artwork adds to the delightful moments.
All parts of the home are minimalist in style, reminiscent of classic and timeless. Natural stone, wood floors and wood veneers combine to create an understated elegance. The neutral backdrop wall provides a glamorous stage for residents to show their personality and taste, integrating modern atmosphere and fashion diversity into their lives.
The second floor is designed in the same vein as the first floor, with an open layout that brings greenery and natural light into every corner of the interior, while the addition of a steel frame accentuates the orderly beauty of the lines. The living space is simple yet cozy, with a Tufty-Time sofa, while the adjoining courtyard is furnished with Tribu Nodi lounge chairs.
It is worth mentioning that SJB creatively uses different color tones to divide the area, giving residents a rich sensory experience. For example, one of the signs of entering a more intimate space is the change of the main color of the space to a cool gray.
In the master bedroom, the dark-toned Lewis bed is complemented by Arte's silver walls. Sunlight shines through the windows on the walls, creating a visual feast of brilliance that easily breaks the dullness of a single cool tone.
In addition, the design's attention to detail extends to every part of the interior, with marble floors taking center stage in the bathroom, which is accentuated by grey veins to create a sense of drama. The translucent glass is tightly encased by a delicate black steel frame, outlining the infinite charm of life.
The second bedroom is decorated in soft pinks and greys, dedicated to condensing a tranquil and tranquil retreat.
SJB uses a harmonious transition between space, materials and details to ensure continuity and fluidity at Brighton Residence, and blends modern minimalist design techniques with the natural environment, allowing the art of living to fill the home with a tranquil, cosy and open abode.
