During the 2024 Spring Festival, the latest work of the "China Mecha Project", a nearly 20-meter-long and 10-ton art installation "Great Wall Dragon: Revival", was unveiled in Beijing's Old Summer Palace Ruins Park, becoming a popular check-in place in Beijing during the Spring Festival, and tourists rushed to take photos. The work combines the two elements of the Great Wall and the dragon, and the winding Great Wall can be transformed into a majestic steel dragon.

The work is created by Sun Shiqian, the initiator of the "China Mecha Project" and the "first person in China's mecha", "Great Wall Dragon Revival" is also used as a new generation of representative mecha of the "Dragon" zodiac in Sun Shiqian's original work "Zodiac Mecha" series, and can also be used as a representative mecha of the "Great Wall" in the "Ancient Mecha" series of Sun Shiqian's original "Ancient Mecha". The author unprecedentedly combines the Great Wall and the dragon, two totems that have deep cultural symbolic significance and national symbolism for the Chinese nation, to convey the spirit of continuous struggle of the Chinese. Sun Shiqian was also the first artist to propose the concept of "turning the Great Wall into a dragon" and realize it in his works.

The "Great Wall Dragon" series will also be exhibited in 10 countries including Germany, Finland, Greece, the United Kingdom, Ireland, the United States, Mexico, and Peru with the "Dragon Dance New Year" Happy Spring Festival event of the Beijing Overseas Cultural Exchange Center, and the image of "Great Wall Dragon" will be published on the cover of the Spanish version of "China Today" issued on February 5, 2024, once again allowing the world to see China's mecha art.
