In the midst of a lot of interpersonal interactions, we sometimes fall into a kind of confusion about whether those who seem close to us really see us as friends. So, what are those subtle signs?

One, when you are facing some troubles in life or need some advice, a true friend will be like a solid beacon to light the way ahead for you.

They will not hesitate to lend a hand and support you with their wisdom and strength. But if you find that they disappear when you ask for something, or they avoid you for various reasons, it may be a sign that they don't see you as a true friend.

Second, you are sharing your views or ideas with them, and a true friend will be like a mirror that reflects your thoughts.

They will respect your opinion and encourage you to express yourself freely. But if you find that their reaction is always indifferent or contradicts your point of view, or even often disparages your ideas, then this could be a clear signal that they don't think your point of view is that important.

Three, a true friend is like an old friend who cares about your life and shares your joys and sorrows. They will always take the initiative to ask you how you are doing, hoping to know the details of your life.

However, if you find that they rarely reach out to you, or only show up when they need you, then it could mean that they don't really want to build a deep friendship with you.

Fourth, true friends are like a mirror who will be honest about your shortcomings and hope that you can get better.

They don't flatter you for fear of offending you, but they genuinely want you to grow. If you find that they are always wrapping you in sweet words and are reluctant to give you helpful advice or feedback, then it could be a sign that they are not really treating you.

All in all, there are many manifestations of others not treating you as a friend. If you find someone close to you who is behaving in some of these ways, then you may want to reconsider your relationship. But keep in mind that the complexity of relationships can sometimes cause us to misinterpret the intentions of others. Therefore, we must also learn to be tolerant and understanding, and look for those friends who truly cherish us and connect with our hearts.
