Qinling Tofu Village, 1,500 meters above sea level, only sells tofu at every farmhouse

Starting from Xi'an, we took the green train, passed through the Guanzhong prairie, and entered the depths of the Qinling Mountains to experience the rare and mysterious place of the Qinling Mountains.

I thought it was just to enjoy the snow scene, but I didn't expect that in the upper reaches of the Jialing River, located in the depths of the Qinling Mountains of more than 1,500 meters, there is a mysterious "tofu village".

This is Dongheqiao Village, known as "the first village in the upper reaches of the Jialing River".

Dongheqiao Village is located in Baoji Huangniupu Town, located in Feng County, and is also the first village in Baoji Feng County along National Highway 212 into the city. Shu Road is located at the southern foot of the Qinling Mountains, the upper reaches of the Jialing River, since ancient times is a key pass on the ancient Silk Road, known as "the first post of the ancient Shu Road" and "the first town in the upper reaches of the Jialing River".

Walking on National Highway 212, we saw that compared with the Guanzhong area in the north of the Qinling Mountains, the houses here are simply worlds apart. The old buildings are all white walls and gray tiles, and the newly built houses are typical of the white walls and gray walls of the Hui style. This may be an overall plan to develop the tourism industry in recent years.

The most memorable thing is that every corner of it is full of rich tofu culture, which is worthy of the "tofu village" in the depths of the Qinling Mountains.

There is a "tofu square" in the village, and in this open space, there is a statue of Liu An, the first person of Chinese tofu, the king of Huainan in the Western Han Dynasty.

Next to National Highway 212, there are twenty or thirty farmhouses, all of which are based on tofu, and at the door of each household, there is a table of "tofu feast", and the wall is also plastered with the history and practice of Lingnan bean curd.

We swam in the snow in Lingnan and were hungry. Walk into a farmhouse and the meals are made with tofu.

A cursory sweep shows that there are as many as forty or fifty dishes of this dish alone, and it is not an exaggeration to say that it is a "tofu feast". There were only two of us, and we ordered the most famous tofu brain and roasted tofu in this shop. It may be in the ice and snow world of Qinling, just out of the wind and snow outside, these two pieces of steaming tofu are really delicious!

After a meal, he only felt warm and energetic. Walking along the national highway in the direction of Qinling Station, I met two big roosters on the way, and you can see the majestic appearance.

I returned to Qinling Station, and when I returned, it was already a little late. We went around Qinling Station and found a place called "Baocheng Railway", but unfortunately the gate was closed and we couldn't get in.

On the walls of the exhibition hall, there is a lot of history about the Pou Cheng Railway, and if you look closely, you will be quite impressed.

Starting from Baoji Station, passing through Shaanxi, Gansu, Sichuan, 19 provinces and cities, with a total mileage of 66820 kilometers and finally Chengdu in Sichuan.

The construction of this railway has greatly changed the history of "Shu Road Difficulty" and turned the "natural danger place" into a smooth road. In particular, the Qinling section is the steepest and most tortuous line in the history of China's railway development. The difficulty and complexity of this work are unprecedented not only in the history of China's railway development, but also rare in the history of international railway development.

It began in July 1952, was fully opened in July 1956, and began operation on January 1, 1958, opening a new chapter in the history of China's railway development.

In these long years, 120,000 officers and soldiers have been in the company of rocks, fighting against the wind and rain, and spilling their blood. Some people have stayed here forever, being the most loyal guards of this railway.

In January 2018, Baocheng Railway was listed as a "Famous Industrial and Cultural City of China" for the first time in China. This is not only a recognition of this railway with a long history, but also the best memorial to all those who have fought for it. We should not forget this, but we should keep it in our hearts and pass it on from generation to generation.
