On February 1, the celebration of the establishment of the Putrajaya Special Economic Zone in Malaysia was grandly held. As an important part of the celebration, the free test ride of the hydrogen energy smart tram was widely welcomed by the local people, adding more joy and fun to the event.
From 1 to 4 February, the Hydrogen Smart Tram will run for four days free of charge in Putrajaya, Malaysia.
On the first day of the event, the appearance of the hydrogen energy smart tram attracted a large number of people to visit and experience, and there was a queue for more than an hour waiting for the test ride during the peak period. During the whole test ride, passengers can not only feel the comfortable experience brought by ART, but also enjoy the cityscape along the way, which is really the first experience of mobile city tour.
In order to ensure the smooth development of this experience and test ride activity, the company urgently formulated a guarantee plan, and deployed personnel and materials from Zhuzhou, Kuching (East Malaysia), Malaysia, Abu Dhabi, UAE and other three places. The transfer of vehicles from Kuala Lumpur Airport to Putrajaya was successfully completed on 31 January to ensure the event on 1 February. The open day test run lasted for 4 days, with a total of nearly 100 trips. The event received the Ministry of Transport of Malaysia and other countries**, which further boosted the popularity of the smart rail experience and test ride activities.
In July 2022, after international bidding, CRRC Zhixing, a subsidiary of CRRC Zhuzhou Institute, successfully won the bid for the Kuching Smart Rail Project in Malaysia, with a total of 3 lines and a total of 699 kilometers, equipped with 38 smart trams.
On July 14, 2023, the world's first hydrogen energy smart tram independently developed by CRRC Zhuzhou was successfully shipped and departed in Zhuzhou, Hunan. It was shipped from Shanghai Port to Malaysia, a country along the "Belt and Road", becoming the first batch of smart trams delivered to Southeast Asia.
On September 6, 2023, the world's first hydrogen smart tram independently developed and manufactured by CRRC Zhuzhou was officially unveiled in Malaysia and started its test run in Kuching, Sarawak, becoming the most beautiful scenery on the streets of Kuching that day. Sarawak Prime Minister Abonzo Hari, Sarawak Transport Minister Lee King Seng, SEDC Chairman Abdul Asser Al Hussein, and Consul General of the Consulate General in Kuching, Sarawak attended the ceremony and experienced the smart tram on the spot.
