Relying on the rich collection of the National Library, the National Museum of Classics is a national museum with the purpose of displaying Chinese classics and promoting Chinese culture. Its treasure of the town hall "Yongle Canon" is a collection of ancient Chinese classics in Dacheng compiled by Ming Chengzu Zhu Di successively ordered Xie Jin, Yao Guangxiao and others to preside over the compilation of Yongle in the Ming Dynasty. The original name was "Literature Dacheng", and later Ming Chengzu personally wrote the preface and gave it the name "Yongle Canon".
The National Museum of Classics has done a lot of work on the protection, inheritance and utilization of the Yongle Canon. In 2018 and 2021, the exhibition halls of "The Great Compilation of Documents from the National Library of China" and "The Return and Reconstruction of the Yongle Canon" from the National Library of China were launched respectively.
