The Italian Education Center has been notified by the Politecnico di Milano that it has launched a new English-taught undergraduate program in Interaction Design, which will be launched at the Lecco campus in the next academic year.

In order to let interested students have a better understanding of this new program, Politecnico di Milano will hold an online information session on Interaction Design on February 19 at 3 p.m. Italian time (February 19 at 10 p.m. Beijing time), where students will be introduced to the features of the course, the application process and the content of the entrance exam.

The Bachelor of Science in Interaction Design has a broad scope of study that includes interactive artifacts in both purely digital and physical representations. Design priorities include the integration of electronic devices, the use of computing power, IoT systems, and big data-based digital and physical interfaces, products, and environments.

The interaction designer's scope of work includes ideating, prototyping, and validating interactive artifacts whose functions are based on the interactive potential of digital and electronic technologies. Interaction designers propose innovative solutions that meet the needs of users and communities, consider regulatory and technical constraints, assess environmental and social impacts, and address ethical issues.

This major mainly trains students to pursue careers such as interaction designer, user experience designer, user interface designer, information architect, and interactive product designer.
