China Mobile Dong Xin resigned as Executive Director and Chief Executive Officer

On January 11, China Mobile announced on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange that Dong Xin resigned as executive director and chief executive officer of the company due to job transfer, effective from January 11. Li Ronghua has been appointed as an authorised representative of the Company to fill the vacancy arising from Dong Xin's resignation, effective from 11 January.

Not long ago, the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security officially announced the appointment and dismissal of state workers, including the appointment of Dong Xin as deputy director of the State Administration of Radio and Television.

According to public information, Dong Xin, born in April 1966, obtained a bachelor's degree from Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications in 1989, a master's degree in financial and accounting management from the Australian National University, and a doctorate degree in business administration jointly issued by Shanghai Jiao Tong University and Rennes Business School in France. He used to be the director and general manager of China Mobile Group Corporation and China Mobile Communications Corporation, and the executive director and chief executive officer of China Mobile.

According to the performance report released by China Mobile for the first three quarters of 2023, in the first three quarters of this year, China Mobile's operating revenue reached 775.6 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 72%。Among them, the revenue of communication services was 664.6 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 72%, sales product revenue and others were 111 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 74%。

According to the report, in the first three quarters of this year, the profit attributable to shareholders of China Mobile was 105.5 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 71%;EBITDA was 268.5 billion yuan, up 6% year-on-year7%。
