Originally, the Coast Guard on Taiwan Island was designed to effectively maintain public order in some surrounding waters under its jurisdiction and to effectively prevent illegal means such as smuggling and smuggling. Recently, we noticed that a fishing boat in Fujian Province encountered a coast guard vessel while carrying out salvage operations in the waters near Kinmen, and in the course of the confrontation between the two sides, the mainland fishing boat directly capsized, and two of the four people on it were unfortunately killed, and the other two were rushed to the hospital.
This is another vicious incident following the arrest of a mainland fishing boat by the Coast Guard on the same grounds last December. It also made more people pay attention to this unit.
Under this premise, please note that on February 15, a scientific research ship with a displacement of 4,000 tons on the mainland, the Dayang, sailed to the vicinity of Hualien.
This sea area is the territorial waters of our motherland, and it is reasonable for our own scientific research vessels to sail in our own territorial waters. However, when the Coast Guard found out, it quickly dispatched its own armed vessel, the Taoyuan, to the relevant waters to confront our scientific research vessel.
As one of the Coast Guard's operational vessels, this ship is much smaller in tonnage and size than our scientific research vessels. But the ship is actually armed, and the 20-mm and 40-mm cannons can carry out non-stop attacks on surface ships in the nearby waters in a short time. The mainland's scientific research ships are typical of peaceful nature, and the coast guard said that it was impossible not to know about it, but even so, they still sent their own armed ships that could be used for coastal attacks, which was in fact very dangerous.
Although our scientific research ship has the advantage of size, but after all, this kind of ship does not have the best equipment specially used for attack, in the process of confrontation, in case the ship of the Coast Guard suddenly **, our scientific research ship will be in a disadvantageous situation, and even the consequences of disaster.
From this incident, we can clearly see the wolf ambition of this so-called coast guard unit.
As a law enforcement unit, it was supposed to contribute to regional stability, unity between peaceful brothers on both sides of the strait. However, in the deliberate command of some high-level officials and in collusion with the Americans, the Coast Guard on the island of Taiwan has deteriorated!
The reason why this unit keeps making a big fuss about this excuse is nothing more than trying to achieve three goals.
First, the hype concept.
By hyping up the concept of transgression, the Coast Guard is trying to create a false impression inside and outside the island and internationally, so that people can believe that there are actually clear boundaries in the waters around China. Through this subtle operation, the island is further separated from the mainland.
Second, deliberately create contradictions.
In the benefit of certain high-level leaders and in collusion with the United States, this unit is deliberately creating contradictions with the mainland. Its purpose is to attract international attention, hype up the Taiwan Strait issue, and aggravate regional tensions. Through this series of contradictions and confrontations, we will further resist the trend of inevitable reunification in the future.
Thirdly, it has to do with the faction that came to power.
At present, the Democratic Party has become the faction that holds the island of Taiwan, and this group has always had ambitions on the issue of reunification in the Taiwan Strait, attempting to change the status quo and future historical trend of the region through collusion with the United States. Now that they have come to power, they will also make corresponding adjustments to some of the requirements of the Coast Guard, so that this so-called unit frequently creates some contradictions.
Therefore, based on the above three purposes, we can understand why this coastal patrol unit on Taiwan Island recently dared to intercept our scientific research ship and dare to chase our fishing boat.
And in the face of such a seriously destabilizing act, the mainland has not been accustomed to the other side. On February 18, the spokesperson of our coast guard unit officially announced that the Fujian coast guard will carry out regular patrols and voyages in the waters of Xiamen and Kinmen.
And the reason why we are doing this at such a point in time is because of the targeted strategy for some of the Coast Guard's operations. The China Coast Guard has the strength to comprehensively crush the other side and a stronger will to fight, and it has the obligation and responsibility to maintain stability and establish good order in China's own territorial waters. Through regular patrol activities, we can further maintain operational order in relevant sea areas and safeguard the lives and property of our fishermen.
During this period, if the Taiwan coast guard unit still blindly takes risks and frequently provokes, it will inevitably withstand a tough response from the Chinese coast guard. It is worth mentioning that compared with the armed forces currently possessed by the coast guard on the mainland, the surface ships of the Taiwan Strait Patrol Unit do not have any advantages at all. I hope that these people can recognize the situation clearly, see the future clearly, and not become sinners of history.
