At the TGA 2022 Awards, Elden Ring was the most successful game of 2022 with an almost unstoppable win in the most prestigious Game of the Year award, as well as three awards: Best RPG, Best Game Direction and Best Art Direction. There's no doubt that this hugely popular dark fantasy-style open-world RPG action game is also a big hit in terms of sales.

In an official press release, Bandai Namco reviewed the sales of Elden Ring since its release on February 25, 2022, saying that the cumulative global sales have exceeded 23 million copies. These sales figures include boxed and available versions that have been shipped to retailers, and cover sales data for the Steam platform on PC.

FromSoftware is available on PC, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X S and Xbox One, and has sold more than 20.5 million copies in May last year. In comparison, FromSoftware's previously acclaimed Dark Souls series all combined sold only 27 million copies by mid-2020. Recently, Bandai Namco also announced the trailer for the first DLC "Shadow of the Erdtree" of "Elden Ring", and it is confirmed that it will be launched on June 21, 2024.
