I told him that if he didn't have enough fingers, he could borrow something else, such as chopsticks. So, the son ran around and took out a pair of chopsticks, first 7 here, then 6 there, and then counted together, 1234 ......13, finally counted, 7+6=13!
I think about it, I don't agree with this method taught in school, if you want to calculate 103+5 for children, do you have to make up 108 chopsticks?
I told my son another way, I said 7+6, in fact, you only need to stretch out 6 fingers or find 6 chopsticks, you can quickly calculate it, my son didn't believe it, saying that the teacher didn't teach like this.
I said: Look, the first 7, in fact, we don't need to put 7 fingers, nor do we need to put 7 chopsticks, you just directly on the basis of 7, count your 6 fingers or 6 chopsticks down, count from 7 to the back, count these 6 to how many is the answer.
My son counted it according to my method, and sure enough, it was quickly calculated, and I came up with a few similar problems, and I quickly calculated them.
I said, "Well, my father's teaching method is good, and my son said, "It's good," but the teacher didn't teach him like that.

The ideas and thinking of school education should be broadened a lot, and only one method should be taught. There are many answers in this world, and there are many ways to correspond.
