In terms of sales volume, Mercedes-Benz passenger cars and light commercial vehicles will sell 249 in 2023180,000 units, a year-on-year increase of 15%;Sales of pure electric models were 24070,000 units, a year-on-year increase of 61%, and the sales volume of pure electric light commercial vehicles was 2270,000 units, up 51% y/y.
Kang Linsong, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Mercedes-Benz Group AG, said that in 2023, Mercedes-Benz continued to transform its company, carrying out cutting-edge innovations in the fields of electrification and digitalization, while expanding the scale of electric vehicles and achieving solid financial performance.
In terms of continuing to promote the transformation, Mercedes-Benz has now obtained a road test license for conditional autonomous driving (Level 3) highways in Beijing. In addition, Mercedes-Benz has launched the first stations of the Supercharger network in China, the United States and Germany.
Given the global economic situation and uncertainties in the automotive market, Mercedes-Benz expects turnover in 2024 to be on par with 2023, EBIT is expected to be slightly below the level of the previous year, and passenger car sales to be on par with 2023.
