In order to implement the rural revitalization strategy, further beautify the rural environment, and carry out loving volunteer services, the 2022 Engineering Management Class 1 Practice Group of the School of Civil Engineering and Transportation of Weifang University carried out the winter vacation "Three Rural Villages" social practice activity with the theme of "Rural Revitalization and Social Assistance" in Xia Village, Linqu County, Weifang City, Shandong Province on January 27.
During the activity, the practice team actively carried out public welfare lectures on environmental protection to the masses. Volunteers actively went into the community to educate local residents about the advantages and future of an environmentally friendly society in the form of questionnaires, leaflets, and actual research, which further improved the awareness of the residents about environmental protection.
In view of the phenomenon of indiscriminate plastering in the corridors of the community, volunteers cleaned and sorted out the advertisements pasted in the electrical box, and put them into the designated garbage bins according to the classification.
In addition, the volunteers of the practice group also went to the homes of the lonely elderly, poor households and old party members, concerned about their current situation, and warmed the hearts of the lonely and widowed elderly with their own actions.
In this practice activity, the volunteers fully carried forward the volunteer service spirit of "dedication, fraternity, mutual assistance and unity", which not only improved the rural environment, but also improved the practical ability of the students, and demonstrated the good spiritual outlook and youthful demeanor of the students of the School of Civil Engineering and Transportation. The practice team has a deep understanding of the great changes that have taken place in rural areas in the new era.
