Active vibration isolation solutions for electron microscopy

Mondo Science Updated on 2024-02-27

Long-term image acquisition and continuous probe measurement require stable micro-vibration resolution equipment. At the same time, some high-resolution microscopes also need to be equipped with micro-vibration solution equipment in order to obtain clear images. The SANSI THA series active shock absorbers have very good vibration damping performance in all six degrees of freedom directions, providing an effective solution for nanometer measurements.

The high-end active shock absorbers developed for AFM and SEM are mainly used in some high-end testing equipment that are sensitive to micro-vibration.

On the solid foundation of the passive vibration isolation system, the active vibration isolation system is cleverly embedded with vibration sensors and actuators, as if giving it a keen sense of perception and control ability. Vibration sensors monitor the vibrations of the table at all times, and actuators react quickly to vibrations. This perception and feedback mechanism creates a strong barrier against vibration.

The control system receives feedback from the vibration sensors, quickly analyzes and makes decisions. By applying a force to the countertop in the direction of vibration, the vibration is subtly counteracted and the platform is stabilized.
