Manufacturer of sterilization filling systems, specializing in aseptic peristaltic filling systems for pharmaceutical, biotechnology and diagnostic applications.

For the new generation of closed-loop peristaltic pump controllers, they chose to implement DeviceNet and ProFibus standardized communication to enable multi-network connectivity in the field. The new solution enables the collection of data from all functions along the entire filling line and enables traceability – one of the key issues for pharmaceutical standards.

It is a type of positive displacement pump. The fluid is contained in a flexible tube that is mounted inside a circular pump casing. Since the only part of the pump that comes into contact with the fluid is the inside of the tube, it is easy to disinfect and clean the inner surface of the pump.

This makes this pump the preferred solution for the pharmaceutical industry. In addition, they have no valves, seals, and glands, so maintenance is relatively low, and peristaltic pumps have the advantage of minimizing fluid damage.

Open communication.

In order to stay ahead of the curve, it was decided to upgrade its range of controllers. With today's solutions, the MC100 communicates with the PLC HMI via an industrial fieldbus (DeviceNet or Profibus). Users can easily adjust filling parameters or programs via existing PLC HMIs. It collects data from all process functions along the entire filling line to provide customers with solutions to critical issues in compliance with pharmaceutical standards, and the MC100 is a pump control module capable of controlling up to 16 pumps.

A closed-loop peristaltic pump controller capable of managing up to 16 pumps. The filling level is checked in real time by the scale, and the start-up command of the individual pump is sent to the controller via the fieldbus, which transmits the start-up command to the pump. Status signals, warnings and alarms for each pump can be supplied to the filling line control system via an integrated fieldbus in the controller.

Solution: DeviceNet and Profibus modules can be designed for OEM. It provides instant connectivity to all leading fieldbus, industrial Ethernet protocols, serial, USB without any hardware and software changes to automation equipment. Because the gateway module is compact enough, it can be integrated on an electrical cabinet card. Regardless of the communication standard, it will have the same dimensions and the same internal interfaces.

Built on new technology. Developed in conjunction with and supported by DeviceNet and Profibus network communication processors, it combines high performance, functionality and low power consumption. The high level of integration allows for smaller sizes and highly competitive**. As a result, we have added significant value not only in terms of cost but also in terms of reduced time to market and increased competitiveness and production flexibility.

Automation devices with integrated DeviceNet and ProFibus slots can use any DeviceNet and ProFibus. For example, you can simply replace a PROFIBUS module with an Ethernet IP module and immediately connect to this network without having to change the hardware and software in the automation equipment.
