Yemen's Houthi rebels have recently launched a series of attacks on Israel, using a variety of **, including cruise missiles, ballistic missiles, and drones.

The purpose of these attacks is to counter Israeli aggression and demonstrate the military might of the Houthis.

The cruise missiles used by the Houthis are its Quds series, of which the Quds-3 model has a range of 1,650-1,700 kilometers and is capable of passing through Saudi Arabia and Jordan to avoid interception by U.S. forces and Israel.

In addition, the Houthis have used Volcano-3 Zorfagar two-stage liquid intermediate-range ballistic missiles, which have a range of about 800 kilometres and a payload of 746 kilograms.

The Houthis also demonstrated the Samad-2 suicide drone, which can carry reconnaissance or ** payloads and has good survivability.

On October 31, 2023, the Houthis announced for the first time a cross-border missile and drone attack on Israel.

The IDF said all air threats were intercepted outside Israeli territory.

Yahya Saaria, a spokesman for the Houthis, declared that this was the third strike against Israeli targets, with more to come.

The Israeli military then announced that it had shot down an air target that was approaching Israel and that it had intercepted a surface-to-surface missile aimed at Israel in the Red Sea region using the Arrow anti-missile system.

These events demonstrate the Houthis' ability to deliver precision strikes against long-range targets, as well as demonstrate their influence in regional conflicts.

The IDF has taken corresponding defensive measures against this, including the use of anti-missile systems to intercept incoming missiles.

These attacks are not only military operations, but also have obvious political significance, reflecting the complexity and volatility of regional conflicts.
