Mao Zetan's 6 ** stories, 83-year-old daughter-in-law looking for his footprints
Mao Zetan (1905 1935) only died in the year, and his preciousness was very little.
This ** is the only photo of *** with his mother, and on the left is 14-year-old Mao Zetan.
This is the only photo with his father, from left: Mao Zetan, father Mao Shunsheng, cousin uncle Mao Fusheng, **
In the spring of 1919, ** mother's condition did not improve, and during the period in Changsha**, the family of four went to the photo studio to take this precious group photo. In October of the same year, his mother died of illness.
In November 1919, shortly after his mother died, ** took this group photo with his father.
In January 1920, his father also passed away, and only three months later, his parents passed away one after another, and the eldest brother *** took on the responsibility of taking care of Mao Zetan.
**'s cousin Mao Zejian and cousin Xiang Jun both sacrificed their young lives for the workers' movement. Mao Zejian was passed on to ***'s parents due to his poor family background, the same age as Mao Zetan. In 1921, ** helped dissolve Mao Zejian's unreasonable marriage contract and brought her to Changsha to go to school. They often live in the "Qingshuitang", where the party committee of Hunan District is located, and accept the strict requirements and tests of *** and Yang Kaihui.
Mao Zejian died in 1929 at the age of 24, while Mao Zetan died in 1935 at the age of 30. Their early death is a great loss to the cause of the workers' movement.
On the other hand, Yang Kaihui's cousin Xiang Jun was sent to Hengshan in 1926 to organize the workers' movement, but he died in 1928 at the age of 22. Their dedication and sacrifice are shining examples of the labour movement.
After the 27th Week, he sent Tang Jisheng, He Shu, Zhu Shunhua, and Mao Zetan to the Shuikoushan Lead and Zinc Mine to lead the workers' movement.
Before leaving, ** handed them a copy of the investigation materials, which he had recorded during his investigation of Shuikoushan in April 1922.
This group photo, taken at the Shuikoushan Lead-Zinc Mine, is not very clear, but it is precious because of the 18-year-old Mao Zetan, who has since embarked on the road to becoming an outstanding Red Army general.
The great momentum of the workers' movement caused a great panic among the reactionary forces, who frantically arrested the revolutionaries. Tang Jisheng died in 1926 at the age of 27.
He Shu was the first Communist Party member personally cultivated. In March 1923, after the introduction of *** and Yang Kaihui, He Shu and Zhu Shunhua (later renamed Zhang Qiong) became revolutionary partners in Qingshuitang, Changsha. The husband and wife were sent to the Shuikoushan mine to engage in the workers' movement together with 18-year-old Mao Zetan.
He Shu and Zhu Shunhua had a total of 5 children, 3 of whom were brutally murdered by the Kuomintang, and 2 daughters disappeared, leaving no news of one.
In 1947, He Shu died heroically, and Zhu Shunhua was the only one left in the family. She lived to be 79 years old, and after the founding of New China, she was cordially received by *** many times.
This ** shows a photo of Mao Zetan with his mother-in-law Zhou Chenxuan and his second wife Zhou Wennan, recording their family relationship. In September 1925, out of work needs, Mao Zetan left Changsha for Guangzhou with *** and started a new work life.
In Guangzhou, Mao Zetan successively worked in the Political Department of the Whampoa Military Academy, the Guangdong District Committee of the Communist Party of China, the Guangdong Provincial Peasant Association, and the Provincial-Hong Kong Strike Committee. During his time at the Whampoa Military Academy, he was under the direct leadership of ***. In July 1926, Mao Zetan and Zhou Wennan from Changsha got married in Guangzhou, and this marriage left a photo of them with Zhou's mother.
Their married life gave birth to a son named Mao Chuxiong. When Mao Chuxiong was 19 years old, on his way to Yan'an, he was unfortunately buried alive by Hu Zongnan's troops.
This is a group photo of Mao Zetan's second son He Lucheng, daughter-in-law Zhou Jianxia and He Zizhen.

On March 25, 2019, Zhou Jianxia came to Donggu to explore Mao Zetan's revolutionary footprints here, and she is 83 years old.
In Donggu, Ji'an, Jiangxi, Mao Zetan and He Yi have a special relationship.
83-year-old Zhou Jianxia.
In February 1929, ** led the Red Fourth Army from Jinggangshan to Donggu, where they rested for 7 days.
He Yi is He Zizhen's own sister, He Yi and He Zizhen said goodbye at this time, and He Yi received a special task: to care for the injured Mao Zetan.
In the days when Donggu was recuperating from his injuries, feelings developed between He Yi and Mao Zetan, but due to the needs of the struggle and the harsh environment, Zhou Wennan and He Yi could no longer be contacted.
It must be emphasized that in those war years, without the institution of marriage, the separation of husband and wife meant that they could never see each other again.
He Zizhen He Yi.
After Mao Zetan recovered from his injuries, the two went their separate ways, met again two years later, and married in 1931.
In 1935, He Yi gave birth to her son He Lucheng, but only 3 months later, Mao Zetan died.
He Lucheng was raised by the villagers and did not return to He Yi until 1949, but soon after, He Yi died in a car accident.
He Lucheng was raised by He Zizhen and became a missile expert.
Zhou Jianxia and He Lucheng married in 1959, however, because Zhou Jianxia was unable to have children, the two had to negotiate a divorce. Soon after, He Lucheng married his second wife, but still failed to have an heir. Subsequently, he married Tan Xiaohong and had a son and a daughter.
Over time, Zhou Jianxia went to the United States to live for a while before returning to China.
In this 1970 Spring Festival shot in Shanghai, He Lucheng stood in the third left position in the back row, and Zhou Jianxia was in the right position in the back row.
At the age of 83, Zhou Jianxia is still mourning her father-in-law and mother-in-law, showing her tolerance and great love.
It is worth mentioning that in 1973, Zhou Jianxia was instructed by *** to spare no effort to find He Zizhen's eldest daughter "Mao Jinhua".
In her own way, Zhou Jianxia always misses her love and cares for the Mao family with practical actions.
This is the image of the martyr Mao Zetan.
In October 1934, during the Red Army's Long March, Mao Zetan was sent to stay in the Soviet area and participate in guerrilla warfare. This option is even more dangerous than accompanying the Long March.
On April 25, 1935, Mao Zetan led a hungry and cold guerrilla force through the mountains to the border between Ruijin and Changting, where they sought refuge in an abandoned house, but were unexpectedly surrounded by a large number of enemy troops.
In a fierce battle, because the number of people was too small to compete with the enemy, Mao Zetan and his troops died heroically. The enemy cut off Mao Zetan's head and showed it to the public, and he was only 30 years old at the time.
The heroic martyrs of the Mao family will always be remembered!
It is our duty to pay them the highest respect, to always remember their heroic deeds and to pass them on!
