7Crmn2Mo cold work die steel is a special type of steel that is commonly used in the manufacture of cold work dies that need to withstand high strength and wear resistance. This steel is named 7CrMn2Mo because it contains 7% chromium (Cr % manganese (Mn) and 2% molybdenum (Mo) in its composition. These alloying elements give 7CrMn2Mo steel excellent wear resistance, corrosion resistance, and high-temperature performance.
During the manufacturing process, 7CrMn2Mo cold work die steel needs to undergo special heat treatment and processing technology to ensure that it has sufficient hardness and toughness. The hardness of this steel is usually between 50-55HRC, which means that it can maintain stable performance in a variety of harsh working environments.
Compared to other types of cold work die steels, 7CrMn2Mo steel has higher wear resistance and fatigue resistance. This makes it the material of choice for the manufacture of stamping dies, shearing dies, and cutting tools that need to withstand high strength and high wear resistance.
In addition, 7CrMn2Mo steel also has good cutting properties and welding properties. This means that it can be easily machined into molds of various shapes and sizes during the manufacturing process, and can be repaired or extended by welding.
