Reserve forces of the Chinese People's Liberation ArmyThe reserve force is an important part of the Chinese People's Liberation Army and an important force in building the motherland and defending the motherland. Reserve forces are included in the leadership and command system of the army, and are under the centralized and unified leadership of the Military Commission.
Since 1955, China has embarked on a journey to establish a reserve force. The Ministry of National Defense issued the "Order on Organizing Reserve Divisions," which was like a spring breeze blowing on the face, giving birth to a number of reserve units in Chengdu, Wuhan, Kunming, Lanzhou, and other military regions. However, the river of history always zigzags. In June 1957, the Military Commission's "Instructions on Improving Military Service" combined the militia and the reserve as if it were a symphony of change.
In May 1983, when the spring was in full swing, the General Staff Headquarters was like a messenger of spring, sending out the good news of the unified establishment of the reserve forces. On August 10, 1986, when the golden autumn was cool, the three general departments officially incorporated the reserve forces into the majestic formation sequence of the People's Liberation Army. In March 1997, a National Defense Law of the People's Republic of China established the important position of the reserve forces in the national armed forces.
At 0:00 on July 1, 2020, the reserve forces were like soaring eagles, fully integrated into the military leadership and command system, and changed from the dual leadership of the military and the local government to the centralized and unified leadership of the Military Commission. At this moment, the reserve force was like a phoenix nirvana, reborn in the flames, gaining a wider sky and higher freedom.
