In 1985, the 120th Division of the 40th Group Army completed the adjustment and upgrading of the establishment of the B Division, which meant that they had significantly improved their military strength and combat effectiveness.

As the "whirlwind troops" of the former Shenyang Military Region, they were heroic and tenacious during the Liberation War, as fast and difficult as a whirlwind, and even Du Yuming once commented that "the most difficult thing to deal with is Han Xianchu's 'whirlwind troops'".

This adjustment of the establishment has undoubtedly laid a solid foundation for their development.

A certain unit of the 120th Division of the 40th Group Army of the former Shenyang Military Region has a common saying: "One hero has three gangs", and the same is true of the birth of a heroic unit. On the road to fame of the "Whirlwind Force", the 120th Division contributed a lot.

The number of the 120th Division is reminiscent of the glorious number of the 120th Division of the Eighth Route Army, which is a glorious and heroic unit in military history, and was transferred to the B Division in 1985 during the disarmament of the million.

The nickname of the 120th Division and the nickname of "the First Division outside the Guanwai" are enough to show its excellent fighting style and military quality. For such a heroic unit, the development after the implementation of the establishment of the B division, everyone may be curious.

Let's take a look at the past and present life of the "First Division outside the Guanwai". The history of the 120th Division is not very long, and it can be traced back to the 9th Brigade of the 3rd Column of the Liaodong of the Northeast Democratic Alliance Army formed in January 1946 (later renamed the division in July of that year), under the jurisdiction of the first regiment.

The old foundation of this brigade is the 6th Regiment of the 2nd Police Brigade and the 6th Regiment of the 3rd Police Brigade of the Shandong Military Region, the 66th Regiment of the 23rd Brigade of the 16th Army Subdivision of Jireliao, and the 6th Regiment of the 3rd Police Brigade of the Shandong Military Region.

Salute to the heroes! During the period of resisting US aggression and aiding Korea, the 120th Division bravely participated in the battle, fired the first shot to resist US aggression and aid Korea, and wrote a magnificent chapter. During their time in Korea, they participated in many battles and fought extremely difficult defensive battles against their positions.

In June 1951, the 120th Division was reorganized as an artillery regiment and played an important role in the subsequent war. In August 1953, they returned to the motherland with honor and pride, returned to Baishan and Heishui again, and became part of the Northeast Military Region.

Subsequently, the 325th Tank Self-Propelled Artillery Regiment was formed, which also belonged to the 120th Division. In September 1968, the regiment was transferred to the 5th Tank Division.

In September 1985, the 40th Army retained and implemented the establishment of the Composite Group Army, and the 120th Division implemented the establishment of the Northern B Division, with three infantry regiments and one artillery regiment under its jurisdiction.

In December 1987, the reconnaissance company of the 120th Division was incorporated into the 14th reconnaissance brigade of the round war.

Let us pay our highest tribute to these valiant soldiers!

In May 1994, the 358th Regiment, the main force of the 120th Division, was reorganized into the Special Brigade of the Shenyang Military Region, and the 358th Regiment contributed to the brilliant achievements of the 120th Division.

In October 1996, the 120th Division was transferred to the Armed Police Force and implemented the establishment of the Armed Police Mobile Division. At the same time, the 119th Regiment of the 355th Division was transferred to the 120th Mobile Division of the Armed Police.

From the field division to the armed police mobile division, although the identity has changed, the four wild bloodlines in his bones have never changed.

Once upon a time, the 40th Group Army of the Chinese People's Liberation Army was a model for troops, and it still stood firm after being streamlined and reorganized.

Today, this glorious name has become the old name of the 120th Division of the Armed Police Force, which holds high the spiritual banner of its ancestors and is determined to win the war.

Assiduously studied the tactics of play, specialized in the main camp, and always took the improvement of combat effectiveness as the traction, and performed well in the fight against natural disasters, major exercises and other tasks.

Although the name was revoked, the bloodline of the "Whirlwind Force" was still retained in the establishment of the First Mobile Corps of the Armed Police.

This honor will forever be recorded in the annals of history and will always be the pride of our hearts.
