Interview with Wu Yue|Contribute to the promotion of traditional culture.
This issue of "Light and Shadow Star Podcast" ushered in an old friend Wu Yue, who has been a guest on our program many times, following his masterpieces "Kill the Wolf, Greedy Wolf" and "Ip Man 4: The End", he has also participated in many wonderful film and television works in recent years. This time, he brought the movie "Blocking the Horse and the Sword" produced, produced and starred in by him.
The film tells the story of Yang Ye's death in Liao, Yang Bajie and Yang Jiumei infiltrated Liaoguo to regain the golden knife, met Jiao Guangpu, a former Yang family's personal soldier, and the three of them fought wits and courage with the Liao soldiers to return to the Song Dynasty together. This time, Wu Yue played the role of Yang Lao Linggong Yang Ye in the film.
Q: This time in your new film "Blocking the Horse and the Sword", in addition to the identity of the actor, you also have the identity of the producer and producer, how do you feel about your multiple identities?
A: Actually, I've been doing all kinds of work for so many years, including producer, producer, director, actor, especially in action movies and TV, and I've done a lot of similar work. What makes me feel the most different is responsibility, because the more positions I have, the greater the responsibility. So from the beginning of the script creation to the later shooting, and then to the finished product, I did it myself.
The movie "Blocking the Horse and Grabbing the Knife" is a re-deconstruction of the famous Chinese opera "Blocking the Horse", which is a story that takes place in an inn and keeps reversing. Perhaps many young audiences don't know much about the play "Blocking the Horse", and Wu Yue also gave us a detailed introduction to the content of the play at our show.
Q: Why did you decide to participate in such a film?
A: I am very fond of traditional Chinese culture, and I have been thinking about what I can do for Peking Opera and Chinese Opera, so I came up with this work. I used to act in a play produced by the movie channel called "Blood Splash Three Forks", so this "Blocking the Horse" actually has a scene of martial arts, so it also has a fight in the dark, or this kind of fight before the identity of the two people is not identified. At that time, "Blood Splash Three Forks" caused a lot of sensation and won a lot of awards, it was a very good-looking drama directed by Fan Dongyu, which tells the story of Ren Tanghui and Liu Lihua, and I played Liu Lihua. After so many years, I have always had a heartfelt love for opera, and this time I especially wanted to make opera a re-graft of a modern action movie, so in this movie we have completed this series of operations. It has very good-looking action, strong suspense, and enthusiasm for family and country.
Q: There is both pride and family and country in this work, what do you think is the profound meaning of the film?
A: Everyone knows that there are a lot of film and television works that show the loyalty of the Yang family, and this time we will focus on a side line of the Yang family, one of his partial generals Jiao Guangpu. What kind of person is he, what kind of story will happen to him, how will he misidentify Yang Bajie, how did the two identify each other, and how did they return to the Southern Dynasty together, this is a very interesting opera conflict, through this point we express the masculinity of protecting the family and defending the country, and also make a powerful contribution to the Peking Opera I like. Nowadays, many young people are very fond of traditional culture, including a series of works and products of the national trend, so I think it is a particularly suitable opportunity to launch such a passionate movie at this time.
In this year's CCTV Spring Festival Gala, Wu Yue's participation in the kung fu micro-film "Fighting for Spring" left a very deep impression on the audience and friends.
