Case replay
On May 13, 2022, the Consumer Protection Department of the Market Supervision Bureau of Jingdezhen City, Jiangxi Province (12315 Complaint and Report Command Center) received a call from the masses to report that his father had applied for two membership cards in the company and purchased "863 Resurrection Pill" and "health care products" after receiving 8 false leaflets and health express reports from Nanjing Shanhuatang Biotechnology, spending a total of 3980,000 yuan. The outer packaging and instructions of the product show that "863 Resurrection Pill" and "health care products" are actually tablet candy, which is an ordinary food, neither a drug nor a health food, and has no specific health care function.
After being tested by a third-party qualified testing agency sent by the Jingdezhen Municipal Market Supervision Bureau, the results showed that the main ingredient of the above-mentioned "863 Resurrection Pill" was starch. The company's behavior was suspected of violating the law and committing crimes, and the Jingdezhen Municipal Market Supervision Bureau immediately transferred the clues of the case to the Nanhe Public Security Branch of the Jingdezhen Municipal Public Security Bureau. After investigation, the cost of this starch pill per box is only 146 yuan, while the packaging design and false propaganda of the "863 Resurrection Pill" are priced between 1,000 yuan and 6,980 yuan per box, and most of the victims are elderly.
The Zhushan District People's Court of Jingdezhen City recently made a judgment on this fraud case in accordance with the law, and the relevant suspects were sentenced to fixed-term imprisonment ranging from 3 to 15 years. So far, this pension fraud case involving 25 provinces and 206 dealers across the country has come to an end.
Common Older Consumers**
Situations similar to the above cases have occurred repeatedly, and we have sorted out several common elderly consumers** for you
Ancestral secret recipe", curing all diseases. Under the banner of "ancestral secret recipe" and "curing all diseases", merchants sell "three no" products to the elderly. When encountering such businesses, elderly consumers should not listen, do not believe, and go to a regular hospital for medical treatment if they feel unwell and other symptoms.
well-known experts", false propaganda. Merchants use "lectures" and "expert free consultations" as gimmicks to attract the elderly to participate, and then create or deliberately exaggerate the hidden health hazards of the elderly, and find "nurseries" to buy ** "health care products" out of pocket at the lecture site, creating the illusion that product sales are hot. Elderly consumers must not trust so-called "experts" outside of formal medical institutions.
Give free "gifts" to promote products. Merchants use "free eggs", "free travel", "free physical examination" and other ways to induce the elderly to take the bait, and further "promote "health care products". From the initial gift of items, the promotion of low-priced items, to the promotion of ** items and the promise of a refund, step by step, and finally run away. Elderly consumers should pay attention to the fact that pies will not fall from the sky, and free eggs should not be received.
Hush the cold and ask for warmth, and "family affection" deceives. Merchants engage in feelings through "chatting" and other ways**. For example, when you see the elderly warmly greeting, you can greet the elderly warmly, take the initiative to do housework, and sell ** products after gaining trust. In daily life, the younger generation should give more care and care to the elderly, and not give lawless criminals a chance to take advantage of it.
