"The true character of the peasant, the spirit of the Communist Party member"This is the common praise of the people of the whole country for the cold spring, and it is also the highest evaluation of him by the prime minister of the country. If you let the Communist Party members go back to this name called"Cold spring"of Americans, they might say, his words and deeds are all about ***"Serve the people"of noble sentiments.
Figure 1: Let's work together to ** a figure who has changed the world pattern, why is he willing to come to China and become a "cattle breeder" who serves the people and contributes to society.
He left the United States and chose an unusual path. On August 6, 1945, a B-29 fighter jet took off from the Mariana Islands with an atomic bomb named "Little Boy" on board, and its goal was to go to Hiroshima, Japan, on a secret mission to Truman.
While the Japanese were thinking about what to eat for lunch, Truman ordered the world's first atomic bomb to be dropped on Japan. In an instant, the bright light pierced the sky, and civilians within a radius of dozens of kilometers fell into a coma.
3On August 9, 1945, the third day after Hiroshima**, the Japanese city of Nagasaki was again struck by a wedge called'Fatty'of the atomic bomb attack. This ** incident resulted in the death of nearly 200,000 people, so that Japan, which insisted on resisting, was finally forced to surrender, ending the world war ahead of schedule. "
After the end of World War II, the United States became the first country in the world to possess an atomic bomb, and its powerful deterrent power is unparalleled in the world. The achievement of this milestone would not have been possible without the hard work and selfless dedication of 100,000 scientists.
Among them, Hanchun was one of the few female scientists in the "Manhattan Project" and made important contributions to the development of the atomic bomb.
In Hanchun's heart, there has always been a belief that to prevent the German Nazis from developing the atomic bomb and protect mankind from its rule. His idea was also the consensus of many scientists at that time.
However, when the death toll of hundreds of thousands of people came, the shock in Hanchun's heart was beyond words. He suddenly realized that his childhood dream was not just to protect humanity, but also to understand the meaning of studying the atomic bomb.
After seeing the ** report of the Japanese, Hanchun was stunned for five minutes. Her colleague was speechless, and she replied, "That's not a mushroom cloud, it's Japanese flesh and blood." ”
Hanchun's heart was filled with deep self-blame, and she understood that she had studied to serve humanity, not to harm them. Hanchun's conscience told her that she must stop the research immediately so as not to hurt more people.
Condemned by his conscience, Hanchun gave up his future and his mentor Fermi and joined the anti-nuclear weapons march. On that day, Hanchun in New Mexico, USA, received a letter from his childhood friend Yang Zao, and on this day, the United States dropped an atomic bomb on Hiroshima, Japan.
In Figure 8, Yang Zao's letter expresses his enthusiasm and yearning for the Chinese revolution and his desire to go to the new world depicted in the book "Red Star Shines on China". This idea is not lonely for him, because his elder brother Han Ding has lived in China for many years and has witnessed the spirit of the Chinese revolution.
In 1948, Han Ding returned to Shanxi, China, in the midst of land reform in rural China, which inspired him to publish Turning Over: A Revolutionary Record of a Chinese Village, which chronicled this history.
Figure 9 shows Han Ding sharing his journey to China with Han Chun after returning to the United States. These sharing enabled Han Chun to feel the appeal of the Chinese Revolution in the United States as well, and provided her with the final impetus to flee the United States.
In 1948, Hanchun finally came to China as she wished, and found her childhood friend Yang Zao here. The two old friends reunite in a foreign country, and their relationship quickly warms up.
In 1949, Han Ding made a matchmaker and let Hanchun and Yang tie the knot in Yan'an, China. On the farms in Yan'an, they lived a sweet life, and the call of the revolution also made them devote themselves to the upsurge of liberating New China.
In four years, they have achieved great results on the Yan'an farm, not only raising thousands of dairy cows, but also using their expertise to help many Chinese and make many friends.
However, their lives were soon shattered by public accusations from the United States. In 1953, a report from the United States made Hanchun laugh. The magazine, titled The Truth, reported: "Han Chun, a scientist who participated in the earliest atomic bomb program in 1948, revealed the secrets of the U.S. atomic bomb to China under the pretext of marrying Yang Zao, and possibly helped China carry out the atomic bomb program." ”
Hanchun is well aware that the United States' attempt to prevent China from developing an atomic bomb and then dominate the world. She was determined not to let the United States succeed. Over the past few years, she has been deeply moved by the Chinese revolution, whether it was the promise of the Communist Party to protect the people when the Kuomintang was at war, or the heroic one-to-many battles on the battlefield.
She fell in love with this country full of miracles. You must know that at that time, China was in ruins, and there was a huge gap between its agricultural production and military strength and the United States, and it had no status in the international community.
In the early days of the founding of the People's Republic of China, Han Chun and Yangzao, who were shouldering heavy responsibilities, faced danger to their lives because of US sanctions and threats. However, the indomitable revolutionary spirit embodied in them makes all Chinese proud and proud.
They firmly believe that New China will surely become stronger and stronger, and they will also do their part for the prosperity of the motherland. In the face of pressure, New China did not give in and firmly defended their rights and interests, so that the US conspiracy could not succeed.
Although the United States is very dissatisfied with this, it can only watch them suffer insults and accusations.
Han Chun and Yang have lived in China for many years, are fluent in Chinese, and have close relationships with Chinese friends. With his professional ability and invention, Hanchun has made significant contributions to the development of rural aquaculture and won high praise from national leaders.
Fourteen-year-old Han Chun received a job offer in Beijing, and she was selected to become a translator for the ** Special Manuscript Agency of the Foreign Cultural Affairs Commission. However, for Yang Zao and Han Chun, this job is not what they expected.
They are even more eager to return to their farms, to their childhood dreams, to their battlefields. After repeated requests from Yang Zao, in 1973, the Hanchun couple were again transferred to a farm in the southern suburbs of Beijing.
They were very happy about the move, as they were finally able to get back to their long-lost spirit away from the tedious clerical work.
Although Hanchun did not return to the farm, she was concerned about the revolution and was committed to change and progress no matter in **. With the assistance of Yangzao, they jointly created the first batch of "green forage harvesters" in China, which not only saved a lot of manpower and material resources, but also marked the entry of Chinese farms into the era of mechanization.
Their innovative spirit did not stop there, and then invented the "first machine", which won wide praise in the domestic market. No matter where they were, they always adhered to the revolutionary spirit and worked hard to change the world.
Figure 16 shows that China's development needs more support. In order to meet this demand, Hanchun Heyang has designed and manufactured more mechanized equipment suitable for farm use by researching various materials and combining with the practical experience of foreign agriculture.
For example, Hanchun designed and manufactured"Horizontal direct cooling of the milk tank", filling the domestic gap and providing a better solution for farms.
After receiving her letter, Hanchun's American friends did not directly respond to the question about "cooling the milk tank", but were concerned about her life in Asia and expressed doubts about her career change.
In response, Hanchun's answer fully expresses her different views on the atomic bomb and cattle raising, believing that cattle raising is more complex and beneficial to mankind than the atomic bomb. After this conversation, Han Chun expressed the same opinion to another famous scientist, Yang Zhenning.
In the second reply, Han Chun's American friend elaborated on the key technology of how to manufacture cooling milk tanks, and expressed full support for her career in China. Hanchun expressed his gratitude and immediately put this information into practice, and successfully developed the "horizontal direct cooling milk tank".
The quality of this milk tank has reached the international advanced level, and it is mass-produced in factories in Shanghai and other places, breaking the monopoly of the United States in the field of cooling milk tanks. In 1993, Han Chun was received by the Mayor of Shanghai for his outstanding performance and outstanding contributions, and was awarded the "Magnolia Honor Award".
In 192003, Yang Zao's physical condition deteriorated after long-term hard work and continuous attempts at various pesticides, and he finally died of a serious lung infection at the age of 85.
After Yangzao's death, Hanchun resolutely followed his last wishes, kept everything simple, and buried his ashes on the land near the farm. After Yangzao's cremation ceremony, in order not to waste it, Hanchun called ** to his son, hoping that he could use a plastic bag to fill Yangzao's ashes, but her son still spent more than 200 yuan to buy the cheapest urn.
After Hanchun learned about this, he also scolded his son. In 2004, China implemented the green card system, and Han Chun became the first person in China's "green card" system.
Fight for the living, not the dead. This is the spirit that Han Chun conveyed to everyone in an interview, and he used this sentence to convey a Chinese revolutionary spirit of self-sacrifice to the working people of the whole country.
Although Han Chun passed away in 2010 at the age of 90, his life experience and spirit will forever be engraved in people's hearts.
Han Chun left a will before his death, asking for the funeral to be simple and not to hold any unnecessary funerals. Despite this, Yang Zao and Han Chun's former friends, as well as the employees of the dairy farm, still decided to hold a memorial service for Han Chun as a way to show respect and nostalgia for her.
Many people also spontaneously went to the memorial service to see off the cold spring.
After discussion, the children of Han Chun and Yang Zao decided to scatter their parents' ashes on a vast grassland on the border between Shaanxi and Inner Mongolia. This place has a special meaning for them, because it is not only the second home of their parents, but also the starting point of their struggle for the liberation of all mankind.
Han Chun's eldest son, Yang Ping, was born and raised in China and now works as a professor at a Chinese university.
In a university lecture, Figure 23 mentions that his parents came here for China, but some people misunderstood that they couldn't make it in the United States. Yang Heping said that this interpretation can only show that these people are ignorant, ignorant and have made no contribution to China's construction.
Yang Heping's supporters also hit back at these people on the Internet, urging them to learn about Han Chun's life and contributions before commenting on them. Creating a world without exploitation is Hanchun's lifelong pursuit and understanding.
World peace is a worldwide problem, so we have international revolutionaries such as Han Chun, Yang Zao, and Bethune, who have solved this problem one by one. Although the deeds of Hanchun and Yangzao are ordinary, they are not ordinary, and their spirit is an example for generations of Chinese to learn.
Let us respect every builder who strives for the strength of the motherland!
