When it comes to "cultivating the mind", it always gives people a feeling of Buddhism educating people, but in fact, there is only a lot more about the transformation of people's hearts.
YS talks about the way of the kingdom of heaven, and there are basically the following places, and they all work from the inside.
Blessed are the low-minded, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
This is the first time that he has spoken and made it public, and its importance is self-evident, especially when the criteria for entering the kingdom of heaven are so clearly stated. The rule of the sages of the Tao Te Ching also puts "humility of the heart" in the first place, forming an echo between the East and the West. It is the regular standard for the disciples to enter the kingdom of heaven, and it forms a complete threshold system with the VIP passage of "persecution for righteousness" at the back.
In reality, after all, the believers who take the special channel are a minority, especially in a civilized and pluralistic society, "humility of heart" is what most people should strive for.
Comparatively speaking, I prefer the Catholic version of "Shen Poor" instead of "humility", and its literal translation is more in line with Lao Tzu's standard of "faith is not beautiful". Referring to the Tao Te Ching's sentence "Those who hear the Tao are losing day by day", it turns out that we must gradually become less sensitive to the changes around us, turn a blind eye to the ridicule of others, do not hate the rich or laugh at the poor, and are too lazy to quarrel, calculate, and compete for favor ......Gradually pampered and not frightened, like a child's simple thinking.
Whoever wants to enter the kingdom of heaven will not be able to enter unless he is like a child.
* After that, the place that can be like a child, there must be only the heart, and the Tao Te Ching "Those who are virtuous are better than those who are naked" is also corroborated. From this point of view, the Chinese words "innocent" and "pure-hearted" are really not metaphors!
Unless your righteousness is greater than that of the scribes and Pharisees, you will not enter the kingdom of heaven.
Some pastors said from the pulpit that the righteousness of the scribes and Pharisees was false righteousness, and it was not true, to be precise, because the rituals and dogmas they were passionate about were also part of the "righteousness," just as the congregations often meet today to sing hymns and divide the bread.
First, the inside and outside are different, the righteousness occupied by things that are mere forms is small, and only by cultivating the mind and transforming oneself from the inside out is the big head of righteousness.
Whoever calls me, "Lord, Lord," cannot all enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father who is in heaven shall go in.
The first half of the sentence is easy to understand, and verbal intimacy is meaningless, so what is "doing the will of the Father"? In the Old Testament, it is to keep the law; In the New Testament, YS, as the Father's **man on earth, of course had to listen to the Son's words. What the son said returned to "empty his heart". This point is elaborated in the following sentences - he never knew a believer who "preached in his name", "cast out demons in his name", and "performed miracles in his name", and the combination of these three conditions is that he does not change himself, he does not "empty his heart", and therefore does not meet the standard.
Someone is going to ask, the soul is getting poorer and numb, is it possible to take the road of Zen Buddhism "Wukong" Buddhism? You will find that the empty part of the heart will be filled with a thing called the Holy Spirit day by day, and the more frequent the prayer, the more the Holy Spirit will be filled.
