On February 10, the morning of the first day of the first lunar month, on the embankment of the Yellow River in Kaifeng, which was shrouded in fog, a bright "orange red" was particularly conspicuous.

Although it has passed the beginning of spring, the cold wind on the embankment makes people shiver and their cheeks are red, and the front-line personnel on duty of the Kaifeng No. 1 Yellow River Bureau wear orange-red safety jackets, carry river patrol tools, hold record books, and patrol the river against the wind.

During the Spring Festival, everyone is on holiday, and there are more people who come to see the Yellow River, so it is even more necessary for us to stick to the embankment, we must not only ensure the safety of the embankment project, but also protect the lives of the masses. Zhang Junlong, the leader of the Heigangkou project management team, reminded everyone.

The Heigangkou embankment section has burst more than 300 times in history, and it is still the focus of flood control in the lower reaches of the Yellow River, and the Heigangkou Lower Extension Control and Guidance Project guarded by the Heigangkou Engineering Management Team is the top priority. During the 2021 Yellow River autumn flood defense, a total of 194 dangerous situations occurred here, and guarding the dam head and drying at the dam head has long become the daily routine of river patrol personnel.

At nearly 8 o'clock, returning to the management class, Zhang Xiaolei, an operational observer, began to sort out the water information recorded during the river patrol, and Hu Xiaobo, another operational observer, turned on the real-time monitoring system to remotely view the upper embankment intersection and key dam sections.

At 10:35, Zhang Junlong picked up the drone and turned on the "Sky Eye" river patrol mode. "You see, how beautiful this embankment is. Zhang Junlong shows the 4K high-definition picture transmitted by the drone.

On the same day, the staff of the Liuyuankou Project Management Team, which is also under the jurisdiction of the River Bureau, also stuck to the front line. At about 15 o'clock, Liu Jichao, a worker of the Liuyuankou project management class, found through the safety monitoring system that there were tourists approaching dangerous waters, and the "electronic fence" was triggered, and at the same time, his mobile phone also received the warning information sent by the river-related safety monitoring and early warning device, and he immediately "shouted remotely": "You have entered the dangerous area of the river, please leave immediately!" ”

In 2023, the river bureau will build an efficient information integration platform through in-depth integration of information technology and daily business, and help the front-line Yellow River protection and governance work to run out of "acceleration" through high-altitude high-definition river patrol system, self-metering water gauge, drones, etc.

At 17:10, Zhang Pengchao, the head of the Liuyuankou project management team, gave a ** to his family: report safety, I won't go home today, and the embankment guard is inseparable from people. After hanging **, he and two other operational observers went to the key embankment section again to conduct inspections.

Hanging the sunset on the river, I saw a touch of "orange red" going farther and farther.
