The University of Adelaide (abbreviated as the University of Adelaide) is the third oldest university in Australian history and the top 1% of universities in the world (89th in the QS World University Rankings 2024). Founded in 1874, the University of Australia is a research-oriented institution of higher learning located in Adelaide, the capital of South Australia, Australia, and one of the sandstone universities, and a member of the 21st Century Academic Alliance, the Australian Alliance of Eight, and the Association of Commonwealth Universities.

As one of Australia's top research universities, the University of Adelaide has first-class research facilities and environment, as well as a comprehensive and complete scientific research training system, and has a strong position in many fields such as medicine, life sciences, law, education, and engineering.

The University of Adelaide has five campuses The North Terrace campus is the flagship campus of the University of Adelaide, located in the heart of Adelaide and is the main campus for undergraduate teaching.

The Roseworthy campus is an internationally renowned centre for dryland agriculture and animal production, located north of Adelaide, about 50 kilometres north of the Adelaide CBD.

The Waite campus has the largest agricultural complex in the Southern Hemisphere, which provides students with the most modern technology. The White campus is located approximately 7 kilometres from Adelaide.

Located on the edge of the Docklands precinct in the west of the city, the Melbourne campus opened in July 2020. There is a free City Loop tram at the front door, and high-end shopping, cinemas and hotels are nearby.

The National Wine Centre is located in Adelaide Park Lands, at the east end of the North Terrace campus

Student services include health, counselling, finance, education, welfare, kindergarten, language and study skills tutoring, restaurants serving international food, more than 60 student associations, clubs and a university gymnasium.

The school has contact agencies in some countries to provide assistance to overseas students, such as airport pick-up, registration, scholarship application, contact with accommodation and cultural and social support. The Association of Overseas Students provides social and cultural support to all overseas students.
