1.Heating.

1) Purpose of heating: When heating is completed, the temperature of the surface layer of the part should be equal to or slightly higher than the quenching temperature; Get the right depth of the heating layer.

2) The heating temperature and the depth of the heating layer depend on the following factors: the average effective power transferred to the part during the heating time; heating time; Current frequency.

2.Cooling The parts should be cooled immediately after heating or after a certain pre-cooling time to complete the quenching.

1) The advantages and disadvantages of quenching results are manifested in the following three aspects: hardness value measured directly after cooling; the magnitude of the internal stress in the part; Depth, region, and microstructure of the hardened layer.

2) The quenching result is determined by the following parameters: cooling time; the temperature of the quenching cooling medium (water, oil, aqueous solution of polymers, etc.); The pressure (or flow rate) at the time of ejection of the quenching cooling medium.

3.Self-tempering.

1) The results of self-tempering are manifested in: the reduction of quenching hardness; The degree to which the internal stress is relieved.

2) The result of self-tempering depends on: high value of tempering temperature; Self-tempering time.

3) Self-tempering quality inspection: Measure how much the quenching hardness is reduced, compare the self-tempering parts after quenching with the parts that are not self-tempered (cold through during quenching), and the reduction value of the hardness of the parts made by self-tempering can be obtained; Check for quenching cracks; Use a file to file the surface of the part just after spraying liquid, and observe the surface tempering color (oxidation color) to roughly determine the self-tempering temperature; Direct measurement of the self-tempering temperature with an infrared thermometer is reliable.
