In the past few days, the Jimo District Fire and Rescue Brigade has continued to organize and carry out night inspections of fire safety centralized and troubleshooting, strictly investigating and punishing fire violations and regulations, and striving to purify the fire safety environment.
During the operation, the brigade set up a number of inspection teams to go deep into the front-line streets, pay close attention to shopping malls, markets, hotels, restaurants, singing and dancing entertainment, theaters, street shops and other crowded places that are open at night, and make every effort to investigate and rectify fire hazards. During the inspection, the inspectors found that four units, including a supermarket in Jimo District, were put into use and operated without the permission of the fire rescue agency, violating the provisions of Article 15, Paragraph 4 of the Fire Protection Law of the People's Republic of China. In accordance with Article 58 of the Fire Protection Law of the People's Republic of China, the brigade ordered four units to stop business and filed a case for punishment.
On the evening of January 28, the fire supervision personnel of the brigade found that the gym of the place was partially decorated with combustible materials when inspecting a fitness venue in the jurisdiction, which violated the provisions of Article 26, Paragraph 2 of the Fire Protection Law of the People's Republic of China. Since the place is a public gathering place, there is such a fire hazard and will seriously threaten public safety. In order to ensure fire safety, the brigade implemented temporary sealing measures for the gym of the place in accordance with the law, and carefully educated the person in charge of the place, and gave on-site guidance on how to rectify fire hazards.
On the evening of January 29, when the fire supervision personnel of the brigade inspected an enterprise, they found that the second floor of the production workshop of the unit was illegally set up in the kitchen and used liquefied petroleum gas for cooking, which is a violation of fire safety regulations in densely populated places, and the illegal acts of using and storing flammable and explosive dangerous goods. In this regard, the fire supervision personnel in accordance with Article 54 of the Fire Protection Law of the People's Republic of China and Article 22, Paragraph 1, Paragraph 3 of the "Regulations on Fire Supervision and Inspection", temporarily sealed the kitchen of the unit in accordance with the law. During the seizure process, the fire supervision personnel informed the person in charge of the unit in detail the reasons and legal basis for the temporary seizure, and required the person in charge to take the hidden dangers seriously, quickly implement rectification measures, and draw inferences from one case to strengthen fire management. The person in charge of the unit said that he would immediately rectify the existing fire hazards in strict accordance with the requirements of the fire department to ensure fire safety.
During the night inspection, the brigade adhered to the work mode of "inspection, publicity, and supervision", focusing on popularizing fire knowledge, escape and self-rescue knowledge, hidden danger inspection and correction methods and basic fire prevention and extinguishing skills, guiding the employees of the unit to carry out fire publicity and training, and telling the person in charge to increase vigilance and implement responsibilities, strengthen fire safety management during special periods, strengthen inspection and publicity tips, strictly implement emergency response measures, and strive to improve fire prevention and control capabilities.
In the next step, the brigade will strictly implement the key requirements of the fire safety centralized elimination and rectification action, make full use of the means of "investigation, correction, sealing, and stopping" to severely crack down on fire violations and violations, treat fire hazards with "zero tolerance", and make every effort to maintain the stability of the regional fire safety situation, so as to create a good fire safety environment for the people to celebrate the Spring Festival.
