Fortunately, there is still magnolia lingering in the branches, as if waiting for my final visit.
There are two varieties of magnolia in Qifeng Park: white magnolia and purple magnolia.
Magnolia flowers are like white jade, like white snow, Presumably, the reputation of "three white guests in midsummer" is not in vain. Counting the petals, most of them are nine, and the flower pieces are thick and very textured.
The way the magnolia blooms is a bit special, with upright branches, subtle like a bell, and blooming like a saucer. The petals are white, with a slight flush near the receptacle, which looks like an upside-down white gourd, and looks like a fried and foamed white glutinous rice cake that I ate as a child. Close to the smell, the tulips refresh the lungs, I don't know whether it is the fragrance of flowers, or the memory of childhood taste buds.
The flower language of magnolia is very auspicious, meaning pure, quiet and noble, and it also symbolizes the sincere friendship between friends.
The bellflower and kapok are gone, and the eye-catching magnolia flowers are still blooming persistently, although there are very few of them. The grass under the trees, the stone path between the flower beds, and the falling "white glutinous rice pieces" can still be seen, which is very beautiful and attractive.
Purple magnolia should be the "sister flower" of white magnolia, with petals outside and white inside. At this moment, you can still see some purple magnolias that are about to bloom and bud, like red lanterns, like neon lights on the street at dusk, and like small lotuses in the pond, showing sharp corners.
Purple has a natural ambiguity, giving people a reverie. The flower language of the purple magnolia is even more romantic, symbolizing the aromatic feelings, the handsome manners, to put it bluntly, it is the aromatic smell, which arouses the thoughts of love. In spring, everything wakes up, hormones are pervasive, and perhaps the purple magnolia is the most suitable flower in early spring.
