On March 26, 2007, a special guest came to the Shenyang Marshal Zhang's Mansion Museum - Zhang Lushi. He is the grandson of Chang Zuolin and is currently the editor-in-chief of Taiwan Golf Tour Magazine.
This is the first time he has come to Shenyang, and his purpose is to pay homage to the grave of his grandfather Zhang Zuolin, but he does not know that his grandfather's grave is in **. Therefore, he decided to ask for help from the Marshal Zhang's Mansion Museum, hoping to find some clues here.
Director Zhang Zhang received a stranger who claimed to be a descendant of Zhang Zuolin at the Shuaifu Museum. Although he didn't easily believe this stranger's statement, because he had met ** pretending to be Zhang Zuolin's descendant many times.
If this stranger is the real descendant of Zhang Zuolin, the Shuaifu Museum will receive him very happily; But if it's a **, then it's not good to pass it out.
Director Zhang Zhang invited Zhang Lushi into the office to learn more about the Huanggutun incident on June 4, 1928. As the grandson of Zhang Zuolin's most favored Mrs. Shou, Zhang Lushi may know some secrets that outsiders don't know.
According to Zhang Lushi, **, Zhang Zuolin's throat was cut by a flying shrapnel and was taken by a car to the Xiaoqing Building of the Fengtian Marshal Mansion where Mrs. Shou was located. In order to keep it secret, except for Mrs. Shou and the personal maid, no one else is allowed to enter.
Zhang Lushi heard that Zhang Zuolin was placed on the bed in the bedroom and died without saying a word, leaving no last words. Shockingly, it was only 13 days later that Zhang Xueliang returned to Mukden from Guannei.
Zhang Xueliang did not return to Mukden until 13 days after the "Huanggutun Incident", and according to Zhang Lushi, the reason was that "no one else could be found." At that time, the troops were in a panic, and Mrs. Shou came out to appease and sent people to look around.
There is a folk saying that Zhang Zuolin said before he died, "Fight!" But Zhang Lushi said that according to his grandmother, his grandfather did not leave any words. After a brief inquiry, Director Zhang Zhang confirmed the identity of Zhang Lushi, who is Zhang Zuolin's grandson and Zhang Xueliang's nephew.
Director Zhang Lushi warmly invited Zhang Lushi to visit the museum of the Grand Marshal's Mansion, and Zhang Lushi asked if the Grand Marshal's Mansion had been demolished, because his grandmother had told him that the barracks of the Marshal's Mansion could accommodate two platoons and artillery chariots.
Zhang Lushi's father also recalled the magnanimity of the Dashuai Mansion when he was a child, where each child had an independent floor and would only get together on special holidays.
Zhang Xueliang and his wife Yu Fengzhi lived alone for a long time, and the Zhang family's family gatherings rarely covered political topics, and most of them were entertainment activities between relatives and friends, such as playing mahjong. Zhang Lushi's arrival answered a question about whether Zhang Lushi's grandmother, Mrs. Shou, recovered the Zhang family's property from the Japanese army after the Japanese occupation of Shenyang.
Zhang Lushi denied this claim, and explained that the commander of the Japanese Kwantung Army, Honjo Shigeru, had tried to ask Mrs. Shou or Zhang Xueliang to receive the treasures and belongings from the marshal's mansion, but the two ignored them.
Zhang Xueliang also told Honjo Shigeru through others that if it was to be returned, Japan should first return Northeast China to China.
In the process of fleeing to Tianjin, Zhang Shoufang handed over Zhang Sanyitang's property accounts to her relatives, and then returned to Shenyang. After learning of the existence of Zhang Sanyitang, the Japanese soldiers began to loot the belongings on the train.
When he returned to Shenyang, he had almost been robbed of all these belongings. This explains why Mrs. Shou was so poor after Zhang Zuolin's death.
After visiting the Shuaifu Museum, Zhang Lushi reported to the relevant leaders of Shenyang City on the situation of worshipping the ancestral tomb. The leaders attached great importance to it, and after verifying their identities, they specially arranged for Zhang Li, Jia Weizhi, director of the CPPCC Culture and History Commission, Zhao Jie, deputy director of the Municipal Taiwan Affairs Office, and Fan Lihong, director of the Municipal Zhang Zuolin Research Office, to accompany Zhang Lushi to Panjin Dawa to pay respects to the ancestral tomb of the Zhang family.
The ancestral tomb of the Zhang family is located in Jiazhang Temple in Haicheng County, after the change of administrative division, although the name has changed many times, the ancestral tomb has been well protected, and the Zhang family is still working and multiplying here.
Zhang's cemetery is an important cultural heritage of Panjin City and has been rated as a municipal cultural relics protection unit. In 2000, Panjin City carried out a large-scale renovation of Zhang's cemetery, and now the new cemetery is magnificent, and the stone tablet in front of the cemetery is engraved with Zhang Xueliang's own inscription"Zhang's Cemetery", engraved on the pillars on the left and right"The predecessors lay on one side, and the later generations produced heroes through the ages"The couplets have far-reaching meanings and are admirable.
Zhang's cemetery, the graves of family members Zhang Zuolin's father Zhang Youcai and second brother Zhang Zuofu are quietly rested here. These two tombs were rebuilt by Zhang Zuolin in 1912 when he was the commander of the 27th Division of the Chinese ** Army to commemorate his second brother Zhang Zuofu.
In front of the cemetery of this ancestor, Zhang Lushi was full of emotion and couldn't cry. Suddenly, a gust of mountain wind hit and almost blew out the burning candle. Several comrades who accompanied him and Zhang Lushi picked up a few pieces of gravel and pressed them into the incense burner to ensure that the incense burner would not be blown down by the wind.
This is the first time that Zhang Zuolin's grandchildren have come to visit the grave of their grandfather. Zhang Lushi opened a bottle of wine, sprinkled the wine on Zhang Zuolin's grave, and carefully stroked Zhang Zuolin's tombstone, reluctant to leave for a long time.
In front of his grandfather's tomb, Zhang Lushi personally read the memorial text he created. This memorial is a magnificent portrayal of his grief over the unfortunate death of his grandfather, his hatred for the humiliation of his country and family, and the painful lives of countless of his compatriots.
Every word is filled with grief intertwined with blood and tears. At the end of the memorial, Zhang Lushi wrote: "For the Chinese nation, this history is a shame that cannot be forgotten, and we will never forget the pain of the past.
Although the past was painful, we must always be vigilant, and at the same time we want to tell the Japanese right-wing: You must not be obsessed with enlightenment, and the great Chinese people cannot be bullied! ”
After paying homage to the story of the descendants of the Zhang family in Taiwan, Zhang Lushi and his entourage returned to the Zhang Marshal Mansion Museum in Shenyang. There, he was interviewed by Zhao Jie and Fan Lihong for more than an hour, telling little-known stories about the family and what life was like in Taiwan.
Before the interview, Fan Lihong gave Zhang Lushi a copy of the Japanese-published "Undisclosed **", which clearly recorded the whole process of the Japanese bombing and killing Zhang Zuolin.
Seeing these **, Zhang Lushi's eyes moistened, as a child of the Zhang family, he has an indissoluble complex for that period of history. Zhang Lushi told Fan Lihong that he first learned about this history from a textbook when he was in second grade.
Although there is very little record in Taiwan's textbooks, he still deeply feels that this period of history is unforgettable.
The "Xi'an Incident" was an important turning point in the history of the Zhang family. Zhang Lushi said that although Zhang Xueliang never mentioned the incident at home, he never regretted his heroic act.
He once said firmly: "If history could repeat itself, I would still choose to do that!" As for why Zhang Xueliang personally sent Chiang Kai-shek back to Nanjing after the "Xi'an Incident", Zhang Lushi explained that this was a decision made by Zhang Xueliang for the safety of the whole family.
Soong Meiling once promised that as long as Zhang Xueliang personally sent Chiang Kai-shek back to Nanjing, the safety of the Zhang family would be guaranteed. For the Zhang family, Zhang Xueliang exchanged the freedom of the second half of his life for the hope of the whole family, which is an extremely heroic and great act.
Chang Lushi was born in Macau in 1962 and settled in Taiwan with his family in 1967. From an early age, he was taught to be cautious in his words and deeds, not to speak easily, and not to ask random questions.
The illustrious family background did not bring him a prosperous and wealthy life, on the contrary, he had to remain incognito, and the family was also ** for various reasons. These difficulties and setbacks made him feel hardships and troubles along the way.
When he was in the second grade of primary school, Zhang Lushi saw Zhang Zuolin killed by the Japanese army in an extracurricular reading book, and he found that the old man in the portrait was exactly the same as an old man wearing a military uniform and holding a command knife hanging at home.
At this time, his mother told him that this was his grandfather Zhang Zuolin. However, when his classmates learned the identity of his grandson Zhang Zuolin, Zhang Lushi was isolated and accused of being a "child of a traitorous general" or even a "grandson of a big bandit and a big warlord".
Even during history lessons, the teacher would kick him out of the classroom and let him stand on the playground. When he asked his classmates what the teacher had said, the classmate warned him that it was better not to listen, otherwise it would make him sad.
After the rebellion", the label was deeply imprinted on the hearts of the Zhang family and brought them endless trouble. When he was young, Zhang Lushi met a flight attendant, and the two had a deep relationship.
However, when the flight attendant later learned that he was a "rebel general", she immediately disowned him. In Taiwan, Zhang Lushi was discriminated against a lot, and even couldn't find a job for a while.
As long as people know that he is Zhang Xueliang's nephew, they will say in a weird way: "You are Zhang Xueliang's nephew, do you still need to work?" Zhang Lushi, who had suffered a lot of humiliation, could only lock himself in his room and cry silently.
Zhang Lushi remembers that his family has always lived a relatively difficult life. In order to make a living, his father came to Taiwan to buy and sell building materials and open restaurants, but he never dared to disclose his identity.
Zhang Lushi has never lived the so-called "young master life" since he was a child, and even has a harder life than some ordinary children from working-class families.
Zhang Xueliang's "family motto" was kept in mind by Zhang Lushi in Taiwan, although there were not many opportunities to meet, but every time they got together, Zhang Lushi was deeply impressed. Zhang Xueliang strictly forbade others to support him, which also made Zhang Lushi understand the rules of the Zhang family better.
On Christmas when Zhang Xueliang was 80 years old, Zhang Lushi went to Zhang Xueliang's place for the holiday, and Miss Zhao Si's British roast beef and ice cream made him unforgettable.
Zhang Lushi remembered his father's words: No matter how hard the men of the Zhang family are, they must survive. This phrase became his motto, and he passed it on to his own children as well.
After his father Zhang Xuejun came to Taiwan, although he opened a ** company, the business situation was not ideal, and there was almost no profit. Therefore, Zhang Lushi and his five siblings all completed their studies part-time.
Later, Zhang Xuejun closed the ** company and opened a restaurant, so that he had some income. However, the good times did not last long, and Zhang Xuejun fell ill again because of a stroke and had to sell the restaurant.
After Zhang Xuejun suffered a stroke, he very much hoped that his eldest brother Zhang Xueliang could come to see him, but due to various reasons, this wish could not be realized, and it became the last regret in Zhang Xuejun's life.
Zhang Lushi mentioned that his fifth uncle Zhang Xuesen was very naughty when he was a child and liked to run back and forth at the Yimen of Zhang Zuolin's mansion. Once, Zhang Xuesen deliberately knocked down the guard's gun, and as a result, he was injured, and he also scolded the guard.
When Zhang Zuolin learned about it, he was so angry that he took off his military shoes, pushed Zhang Xuesen to the ground, beat him with the soles of his shoes in front of the guards, and asked him to apologize to the guards. After this incident, Zhangjiayimen had another name: "Godson Gate".
Zhang Xuesen worked in an airline in the United States, and Zhang Xueliang and Zhao Yidi lived in the United States in their later years, and Zhang Xuesen took care of their daily lives. Zhang Xuesen returned to the mainland in 1990 and was also received by ***.
Zhang Xuesen's daughter, Zhang Luxuan, is currently a member of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference and a Hong Kong legislator. She has a son named Huang Dawei, who is a famous ** person in Hong Kong.
Zhang Lushi has always had a deep "hometown complex" buried in his heart, and he has always longed for that place full of memories. More than once during her lifetime, Mrs. Shou described to him the beauty of the Northeast, with the freedom to ride a horse-drawn carriage through the ice and snow, the delicious cauldron dishes, the crispness of frozen pears, and the small but sweet orange ...... brought from the southAlthough this "hometown" feels very far away, it has always been a warm home that Zhang Lu will never forget.
Zhang Lushi has always been deeply touched by the memory of his hometown, and he often imagines what his hometown will look like. However, he was never sure what the people on the mainland would think of their Zhang family.
This problem made him never dare to take the step of returning to his hometown, even before his father died, he made a promise that he would definitely return to his hometown for his father in the future. However, with the death of Zhang Xueliang, the overseas relatives of the Zhang family began to return to China one after another to seek their ancestors, and Zhang Lushi also began to have the idea of returning to the Northeast to worship his grandfather.
In March 2007, he seized the opportunity of a Hong Kong business group to visit Northeast China, and finally took the first step back to his hometown. He traveled from Taiwan to Hong Kong, then from Hong Kong via Wuhan and finally to Changchun, his hometown of Shenyang.
Every time he approached his hometown, Zhang Lushi's mood became more and more nervous and excited. He looked forward to seeing those familiar places, hoping to reclaim those lost memories.
After Zhang Zuolin's memorial, Zhang Lushi had an idea, he was determined to write a book about the history of the Zhang family, revealing a real Zhang family to everyone"The September 18 Incident"The fate of the Hou Zhang family.
To this end, Zhang Lushi spent more than a year, traveling to Shenyang, Xi'an, Beijing, Shanghai and other places, while researching history, while reuniting with the descendants of the Zhang family in the mainland.
In 2009, Zhang Lushi and his wife returned to Shenyang to settle down, and soon after was hired by the Liaoning Provincial Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) as a deputy director-level inspector. This old man with a Taiwanese accent seems to have made up his mind to become a real Northeast man.
He said: "The descendants of the Zhang family have not returned to their hometown of Northeast China for nearly 80 years, and the city of Shenyang may be full of pain for the Zhang family. However, the passage of time made me no longer feel sad, so I decided to bring the blood of the Zhang family back to Shenyang and become a real Shenyang person. ”
In 2010, Harbin Publishing House published the book "The Long Road Home" by Zhang Lushi. Based on the personal experiences and oral accounts of Zhang Lushi and his mother, and with his return to the mainland as the main line, the book tells the little-known story of Zhang Zuolin and Zhang Xueliang, as well as the legendary experiences of the descendants of the Zhang family in the mainland, Hong Kong and Macau.
At the launch ceremony of "The Long Way Home", Zhang Lushi said with emotion: "In the past 80 years, the merits and demerits of the Zhang family in the Northeast can only be judged by a longer history.
I really went back to square one, looking for the answer in my heart, grandpa didn't fulfill his dream, and my uncle didn't care about people's comments. Just being determined to follow your own path is meaningful enough. ”
Zhang Zuolin's grandson Zhang Lushi personally went to Huanggutun to pay tribute to his grandfather, and was warmly welcomed and concerned by the people in his hometown. As the nephew of Young Marshal Zhang Xueliang, Zhang Lushi's return on this trip has also attracted widespread social attention.
