According to public information, Luo Zhenyu, a Singaporean national, graduated from the National University of Singapore with a bachelor's degree in real estate management, and later obtained a master's degree in business administration from Oklahoma Metropolitan University in the United States. Loh worked for the Inland Revenue Authority of Singapore; From 1996 to 2001, he was an Associate Director of Temasek Holdings' Private Equity Investments.
In September 2001, Mr. Lo joined CapitaLand. In August 2004, he was seconded to China and successively served as Managing Director of Ascott China, General Manager, Chief Investment Officer and Deputy Chief Executive Officer of CapitaLand China South China. In September 2014, he was appointed Chief Executive Officer of CapitaLand China. In 2018, he was appointed as the President of CapitaLand. In July 2021, Lo left CapitaLand to join Hopson Development as Co-President, overseeing real estate investment and operations.
On February 5, 2024, Hopson Development announced that Luo Zhenyu, co-president of the company, resigned for personal reasons. With effect from 1 February 2024, Lo will no longer hold any position in Hopson Development after her resignation.
