Let's start with an interesting story.
During the Tang Dynasty, there was a poet named Liu Shang in Pengcheng, who loved to read since he was a child, and had the ability to never forget, and was famous for his early poems "Hu Ji Eighteen Beats", whether it was a woman or a child, he could recite his poems skillfully.
When he grew up, Liu Shang passed the Jinshi examination and began to enter the court as an official.
However, he is indifferent in life and doesn't like officialdom acting on the spot. On the contrary, he preferred to study Taoism, and whenever he met a Taoist priest, Liu Shang would worship him as a teacher and give him financial support.
After reaching middle age, Liu Shang suddenly felt that life was in a hurry, and glory and wealth were just a passing cloud, so he resigned from his official position and traveled in all directions. At this time, he had already married a wife and had children, and he had no earthly worries, and all he wanted was enlightenment.
When Liu Shang traveled to Guangling, he met a Taoist priest selling medicine on the street, and many people surrounded him at that time, three layers inside and three layers outside, all saying that this Taoist priest was very powerful.
The Taoist priest also saw Liu Shang in the crowd and felt that he was different, so he closed the stall and invited Liu Shang to go to the restaurant to drink together. During the drink, the Taoist priest talked extraordinary, from the Qin and Han dynasties to modern times, as if he knew everything.
Therefore, Liu Shang concluded that this was a strange person. However, when the Taoist priest persuaded Liu Shang to cultivate, Liu Shang still felt that the road to cultivation was difficult and might not be successful.
That night, the Taoist priest sent the drunk Liu Shang to the guest house, Liu Shang didn't talk enough, but as soon as he turned around, the Taoist priest disappeared.
The next day, the Taoist priest was still selling medicine on the street, and the two continued to drink and talk, this time after drinking, the Taoist priest gave Liu Shang a small medicine bag, and chanted: Nothing to go to Yangzhou, go to the restaurant together. The medicine bag is a farewell, and what more can you ask for for a thousand years.
Since then, the Taoist priest has completely disappeared, after Liu Shangjiu couldn't find it, he opened the medicine bag and found that there were 9 small pills inside, he swallowed it according to the method told him by the Taoist priest, and after a while, he felt light and healthy, refreshed, and no hunger.
Later, Liu Shang lived in seclusion in the mountains, and a woodcutter who fetched firewood once said that he had seen Liu Shang in the mountains, but the world could no longer find any trace of him, because he had become an earth immortal.
This is naturally a rumor in wild history, but after the real Liu Shang resigned, he did live in seclusion in the Yixing Mountains after the age of 65, and he was still alive when he was seventy or eighty years old.
Liu Shang is good at painting, and he is also quite famous for his poems in the Middle and Tang Dynasty, in addition to "Hu Ji Eighteen Beats", he has many classic poems, and we will read a poem he wrote after drinking.
The spring grass and autumn wind are old, and the family is poor when they are drunk.
When I wake up, I still love duckweed, and the official river does not belong to people.
Liu Shang "Drunk".
Historical records record: business is good wine, but the family is poor. Taste the flowers in the moon, drink leisurely alone, and sing long ballads, so it is suitable for yourself. Fu poem said: The spring grass and autumn wind are old and ......
Tang Poetry Anthology will comment on Liu Shang's poem
The first two sentences have been unrestrained and unrestrained. The last two sentences go one step deeper, and I see that this body has not been able to get out of the world. If you can transcend the two realms of drunkenness, you will be born.
Let's take a closer look at the poem.
The gist of the poem can be interpreted as:
The four festivals change, spring comes and autumn, inadvertently the spring grass is yellow, the years are in a hurry, and people are gradually aging in time. Fortunately, I have a scoop of old wine, and whether my family is poor or not, I can still use it to relieve my worries;
When I sobered up, I found that I still like the grass floating in the water, they go straight down the river, no need to take root, go to **is**, unrestrained, how chic.
Liu Shang's poem, although written after drinking, is written very clearly, he uses the floating grass in the river as a metaphor for life, the pursuit of a free and easy life, which is also the main reason for his seclusion in his later years.
The people who can think about it are those who don't care about fame and fortune, they just want to live their own comfortable life, not be coerced by the world, they can live in a corner of peace, or they can be their home all over the world.
Even though they are not rich, even poor, they do not need anyone's pity and sympathy, because they all know what kind of life they want.
The spring grass and autumn wind are old, and the family is poor when they are drunk.
At the beginning of the sentence, the poet pointed out the main idea, why should a good drinker care about the poverty of his family, how short his life is, it is better to let go of his obsession and live every day happily.
As Li Bai wrote in "Will Enter the Wine": Life must be happy, don't make the gold bottle empty to the moon.
Wealth and status are entangled in things, and only by learning to give them up can we gain something.
When I wake up, I still love duckweed, and the official river does not belong to people.
"Guanhe" originally referred to a canal, and the poem generally refers to the river system.
The last two lines of the poet go deep into the main theme and write about the reason why he loves wine, because he has always pursued an unfettered life, and wants to live a chic and comfortable life like Pingcao.
Throughout the poem, the poetry is full of philosophy, which not only writes about the concept of living in peace and happiness, but also writes about the desire for freedom. Life is short, we all have to learn to be happy in time, this is not a kind of decadence, but the wisdom that we have after seeing through everything.
