Tang Yi, executive deputy director of the National Medical Center for Neurological Diseases of Xuanwu Hospital, Guo Xiuhai, director of the scientific research department of Xuanwu Hospital, and Cai Yanning, deputy director of the clinical sample center, attended the meeting, and more than 100 people attended the meeting, including the heads of 41 clinical research units across the country, the main researchers, and the technical leaders of clinical data platform units. The meeting was presided over by Wei Cuibai, deputy director of the Key Project Department of the National Medical Center for Neurological Diseases, Xuanwu Hospital of Capital Medical University.
In his speech, Zhao Guoguang pointed out that since the project was approved in December 2021, Xuanwu Hospital, as the lead unit, has actively promoted the construction of clinical data platforms and sample banks, standardized SOP and quality control for project implementation, high-quality project management and scientific and technological achievements output. At present, the cohort clinical data research platform has been completed, which can realize the main functions of entering, subject management, data entry, data export, data retrieval, automatic logic quality control, etc., and also provide an important guarantee for the collection of cohort clinical information, the output of high-quality results and the sharing of some clinical information. It is hoped that through this meeting, we will fully discuss and communicate with the heads of various research units and principal investigators on how to build a good dementia cohort, how to effectively use the cohort, how to build dementia data sharing, etc., and strive to establish an efficient and high-quality operation mechanism in the aspects of team inclusion, sample collection, and clinical information quality control.
The project leaders Tang Yi, Wei Cuibai, Wang Junling, Wang Gang, Wang Huali, Cui Mei, Lv Peiyuan, Du Yifeng, etc., respectively reported the current project and the relevant situation of the eight topics to the experts of the major project management expert group of the Ministry of Science and Technology from the aspects of research background, implementation, recent achievements, existing problems and solutions.
Zhang Dai emphasized that the collection of high-quality clinical data should start from two aspects: first, to speed up the enrollment and turn the project behavior into the hospital behavior, the lead unit and the project leader unit need to fully coordinate and integrate the resources of the hospital, and give priority to ensuring the completion of the project; Second, it is necessary to ensure the quality of data, use sampling and other methods to do a good job in quality control, meet the needs of the country, and truly solve Alzheimer's disease and other related problems.
Wang Xiaomin affirmed the work achievements of Xuanwu Hospital in the project, and further hoped that the project could show better results and a more unified model in the future, and strive to become a benchmark and model in the major brain plan projects.
In his concluding remarks, Zhao Guoguang pointed out that in the future, it is necessary to actively play the role of the academic committee, complete the cohort study of the project with high quality, and realize the deep integration of medicine, industry, academia, research and application by solving the problem of "stuck neck".
At the training meeting, Jin Hongmei and Xu Shuo from the High-tech Center for Neurological Diseases of Xuanwu Hospital, Qi Zhigang, chief physician of the Department of Radiation and Nuclear Medicine, and Wang Changming, associate researcher of neurosurgery, respectively shared and answered questions with the participants on the part of neuropsychology, neuroimaging and neuroelectrophysiology, and the atmosphere of on-site discussion was warm.
