This sentence of "corruption supervises corruption, corruption governs corruption" seems to be a resounding slap in the face of everyone who cares about social justice and conscience. It is like a sharp dagger, piercing deep into our hearts and making us feel painful. What this sentence reveals is a vicious circle of despair, like a dark whirlpool, ruthlessly devouring the light and hope of society, making people wander in endless helplessness and disappointment.
The rise and fall of the Ming Dynasty, a dynasty that was both glorious and short in Chinese history, is like a mirror of the problem of corruption, allowing us to see the horror and helplessness of corruption. At the beginning of the Ming Dynasty, Zhu Yuanzhang established a new regime based on honesty and self-discipline. At that time, the Ming Dynasty was like a bright pearl, illuminating the dark history. However, over time, the shadow of corruption gradually loomed over this once-bright dynasty.
In the middle of the Ming Dynasty, they began to abuse their power, and corruption prevailed. Those public servants who once served the country and the people have become greedy silverfish, eating away at the body of the country. Their greed and corruption not only seriously damaged the credibility of the public, but also led to social turmoil. The people are living in dire straits, and the people are struggling to make a living, but they are helpless and allow corruption to spread.
In response to the problem of corruption, the Ming Dynasty took a series of measures to try to salvage the dynasty on the verge of collapse. They have strengthened the supervision system, severely punished corrupt officials, and tried to curb the breeding of corruption at the source. However, these measures do not fundamentally address the problem of corruption, but rather exacerbate power struggles and political corruption. The fall of the Ming Dynasty became a painful lesson in Chinese history.
History is a mirror that allows us to see the horrors and dangers of corruption. We cannot allow history to repeat itself, and we cannot allow corruption to erode our society again. Therefore, we must strengthen supervision and management and maintain the purity of the ranks of party members. We must carry out in-depth anti-corruption education, so that every party member can deeply understand the harmfulness of corruption, and enhance their awareness of abiding by discipline and law and their consciousness of performing official duties honestly.
The Commission for Discipline Inspection and the Organization Department should vigorously carry out propaganda on party discipline and government discipline, education on party style and clean government, positive model demonstrations, and warning education among party members and cadres, with the establishment of a correct "view of power and interests" as the central content. Through these activities, party members, especially party-member leading cadres, should further enhance their awareness of abiding by discipline and law, their concept of being honest in performing official duties, and their ability to resist corruption and guard against degeneration.
At the same time, discipline inspection and supervision departments should give full play to the positive role of the main body of supervision, strictly implement the "Regulations on Disciplinary Punishment of the Communist Party of China" and the "Regulations of the Communist Party of China on Intra-Party Supervision," adhere to the principle of administering the party strictly, and intensify the investigation and punishment of unqualified party members. Once party members are found to have violated discipline and law, they must be resolutely punished and not given credit in order to set an example. Only in this way can we build a just, clean and orderly social environment so that the people can live a happy and beautiful life.
