The World Ocean Summit is a multilateral forum on ocean governance initiated by The Economist magazine, and all topics of the 2024 summit will be on investment and innovative financial instruments to drive ocean health recovery, with a greater focus on action and a series of workshops on "how to" to provide real-world solutions to global ocean challenges.

The conference will feature high-level policy discussions in plenary, detailed discussions on practical solutions to the ocean industry and ocean crises in follow-up sessions, and practical interaction in "how to do it" workshops.
