From February 26 to 29, the 2024 Mobile World Congress (MWC) was officially held in Barcelona, Spain. Huawei brought a number of dazzling products and solutions to the exhibition, including the newly upgraded HMS for Car in-vehicle intelligent solution in the Huawei Device Cloud Zone, which helps Chinese car companies build intelligent and connected products through four major boxes, escorting them to go global.
The four BOX capabilities of HMS for Car have been newly upgraded to bring the ultimate product experience
In this conference, HMS for Car upgraded and built the four core capabilities of "Map Box, AI Box, Net Box, and App Box" on the original basis around the dimensions of intelligent navigation, intelligent voice, traffic service, and application ecology, bringing better intelligent and connected service experience to car companies.
Focusing on intelligent navigation, HMS for Car further breaks down the barriers between map applications and the car machine, bringing high-quality C-end navigation experience to the car. Based on the map service capabilities of petal maps covering 160+ countries around the world, we will work with local high-quality partners to build 3200 million high-quality POI data, providing new features such as lane-level navigation, new energy vehicle charging and energy replenishment, and AR-HUD real-world navigation overseas; Support mature ISA (Intelligent Speed Assistance) solutions to help car companies pass ISA certification. At the same time, it also supports the access of third-party map services to build better intelligent navigation.
In smart cars, voice is a more convenient way to interact. HMS for Car brings new capabilities in terms of smart voice, opening up the whole link of device-cloud collaboration, relying on Xiaoyi voice's dialogue interaction, language interpretation, product-level hot word enhancement recognition and other capabilities to realize the controllable ecological voice of the whole vehicle. These capabilities have been widely used in China's domestic automobiles, accumulating rich experience, combined with Huawei's multilingual data and engine advantages built overseas for many years, so that more overseas car companies can also have more intelligent voice interaction capabilities overseas.
Continuous and stable traffic services are essential to improve the in-vehicle experience. HMS for Car adds the "NET BOX" capability, which reuses the networking experience of mobile phone users to the vehicle based on Huawei's Skyline traffic service platform, providing continuous and ultimate in-vehicle traffic services for car owners around the world. Huawei's Skyline traffic service platform brings together global operators, which can greatly improve network coverage and reduce traffic procurement costs. At the same time, it supports traffic management, which can flexibly allocate traffic, and car companies can flexibly configure their own traffic policies based on their needs.
In addition, HMS for Car provides a rich in-vehicle application ecosystem through the "App Box", supports the shelving, distribution and management of applications, carries out special expansion for in-vehicle high-frequency applications (such as audio applications, high-quality applications, etc.), and provides basic development capabilities and rapid integration of templates. At the same time, Huawei has a globally mature ecosystem operation team and global audit capabilities to ensure global compliance operation of applications.
A prosperous ecosystem and rich in-vehicle application services
With the increasing development of the Internet of Vehicles era, the diversity of automotive Internet applications has also attracted much attention. Huawei HMS for Car adheres to an open and win-win cooperation attitude, and works with global ecosystem partners to build a smart in-vehicle ecosystem.
On the one hand, Huawei has worked with outstanding global ecosystem partners to continuously polish and improve the capabilities of the four major BOXES by combining the advantages of both parties to provide more competitive products for car companies. For example, through the joint construction of Petal Maps and partners, the service has covered 160+ countries and regions around the world, supports 70+ languages, and has a POI data of 3200 million+; For example, through ecological cooperation, the Tianjitong traffic platform has been connected to 60+ global operator networks, covering 100+ countries and regions around the world, and continues to integrate more networks to bring the ultimate Internet of Vehicles experience.
On the other hand, Huawei's in-vehicle application market platform provides more convenient access methods, allowing developers to access the HMS for Car application system more efficiently. For example, it provides in-vehicle application development specifications, flexible components, unified ecological templates, and powerful HMS Core capabilities, which can achieve one-time development, multi-vehicle platform adaptation, and support car companies to customize their own car enterprise ecosystems. AppGallery also has global audit capabilities to ensure that on-board services comply with the laws and regulations of countries in each region.
HMS for Car will continue to work with ecosystem partners to fully support Chinese car companies to go overseas around core product capabilities such as navigation, voice, application ecology, and traffic services.
