I think I'm more qualified to answer this question, because I'm the legendary "someone else's child". Growing up, I have always been a top student in my class, and my test score has never been lower than 95. I'm playing while others are revising, and I'm playing when others are playing, but I just get the first place in the exam.
However, I'm not a genius, I'm just a good learner. I've always had my own way of learning. First of all, I will make a reasonable study plan and schedule my time every day. Secondly, I will pay attention to the efficiency of the class, listen carefully and take good notes. Finally, I will review in a timely manner, check and fill in the gaps, and learn from the past.
Of course, studying is not the whole of life, and I also have my own hobbies. For example, I like to play basketball, watch movies, and travel. These hobbies have not only enriched my life, but also allowed me to make a lot of like-minded friends.
In short, I don't think it's a painful thing to study, as long as you master the right methods and maintain a positive attitude, you will definitely be able to achieve good grades. Of course, if you really can't learn, don't force yourself, after all, there are many other choices in life.
However, life in the world is all about fun.
